Good thing you can skip forward in the video! It was important to add the story because a fake can be well done and unnoticeable until it's in your hands. I didn't get scammed, I got my money back and sent away the fake. Thanks for checking out the video, I guess you were here for some reason yourself.

@@TheFujiwuji at 4:50 I say which one is real and which one is fake and throughout I compare them with references to which is which. It's easy to skip through and see if anything seems off for your bottle. If it matches the one on the right side, it's fake. Match the left, it's real. Simple, not complicated. I told the story because it could happen to anybody. Good thing you could skip it!

Save yourself the headache and go to a chanel authorised dealer. Even if you have to pay the full price atleast you have peace of mind knowing you have the authentic product.

Based on looks, I was stereotyping the one on the right, because all of the women’s Chanel fragrances (in the N°5 EDP bottle style) have practically invisible tubing. So from looks alone, I would’ve guessed wrong.

Thanks for this.. as i said, to me usually the first quick glance to spotting it are the fonts. Fakes are always less vivid and refined, they are fatter and a tad brighter, in my experience... and with your bottle, my eyes couldn't stop looking at the bubbles on the top, plus the edges you mentioned. But dang, they are really getting better. Also, i'm glad i'm not the only crazy to weigh his bottles. I feel better knowing that, LOL

Thanks. Don't know if this was already mentioned but the fake one has a diagonal line over the top. You also see small dots in the glass on the top at the edge. I just bought a used one, €55,-, for about 85 ml left.

Can someone give a description of the authentic scent? My batch is 4402, looks exactly like the authentic one in your video. I was concerned because there is hardly any scent on opening, seems quite weak.

How does the inside of the caps look? Do both real and fake havd the chanel logo inside?

What about the atomizer...how does it spray and scent smells???

Thank you, really useful . I've just received a fake bottle : no batch code on the bottle at all and the cap just stick as I put it and does not twist and the bottle is not dark as your copy here. Happily I can suspend the transaction and ask for refund.

I got mine in an authorized retailer so it's 100% legit and the cap doesn't automatically center perfectly, like the fake on yours but it does wants to come off when I turn it.

Actually you can get a fake perfume in the original bottle or at least heavily diluted with alcohol. It just happened to me. I bought it from a "legit" retailer in UK, a very big one actually, they also have a lot of shops. They gave a 20 % discount so i went for it, now I regret. The bottle seems original but the juice inside simply doesn't smell like the sample I had from Chanel, it's like they left 30 % perfume and fill the rest with alcohol... It just doesn't smell good at all and it lasts about 30 minutes. I am struggling to return it and get a refund but chances are close to 0 as they said I have to send the perfume back to them so their "warehouse experts" can test it and if they find any faults I will get my money back. Of course they will say everything is fine with the perfume. So this days they don't bother to fake the bottles anymore, they buy perfumes directly from the original supplier, they probably sell also originals in their presentation shops, but they also make from 1 perfume 2, as it happened to me.... My advice would be to buy STRAIGHT from an authorized shop or better directly from Chanel.

You are correct because I have sold original bottles with box plus chanel carrier bag plus wrapping string at a great price on ebay. At first I wondered why any one would buy it but then I put two and two together. All they need to do is fill it up and they have made some easy money

Sebastian Gabriel Sebastian Gabriel damn, I bought bdc edt on the chanel counter and another bdc edp on reseller. The one from online reseller, everything checks out. The atomizer, bottle colour hue & transparency, font on the bottom is accurate. But the smell seems off, top notes is citrucy but the dry down is just too woody. Guess I’ve been scammed. Never again buy chanel product online.

@@mohamadsafuan3703 I actually bought another Bdc parfum directly from Chanel online store and has the same problem, smells alcoholic and performance is poor. The box and the bottle seem totally fine. I am thinking it may also be a matter of a faulty lot of perfumes that Chanel is aware off but they still sell them to you, which is fraud. I have left UK now otherwise I would intend them a process. I will never ever buy a perfume online again, before I can check and smell the fragrance inside the bottle.

Not that I'm doubting you, but did you smell the "fake" and compare it to the real fragrance? If yes, how did it compare, I mean, could you tell by the smell that you were getting a fake?

I did try it on skin (should never do this) and it had a very very strong alcohol smell with a tinge of the BDC DNA. Faded within minutes however.

I bought on instagram profile they are saying its original and they have 30k followera and its all same clear vision edges and more but cap this chanel logo is 90 deegrees to mine when i place it magnetic so i dont know is it original and they messed up or irs rlly good fake

I believe he said the one he bought at discount(the fake) did not come with a box. But I would think it wouldn't be too difficult to fake the box if they already faked the bottle.

no mine is straight from chanel and my cap a bit turned too

I was able to distinguish very easy the left is real.

I got caught grabbing a fake on mercari and since I thought it was real I gave away my authentic 50ml to my cousin before it had arrived in the mail. It had a little less than 20mls left too. I still got my fake smh. It doesn't smell bad for a fake but it's just not the same. Now I gotta get another bdc parfum though cause like why man 🤦🏽‍♂️. Atomizer on the fake sprays like a beast though you absolutely right.

Apparently you have two original Blues, despite the differences, which can be explained by the redesign of the bottle.

Buy from chanel.com, it's way safer and better to pay retail for Chanel fragrances because they don't show up on discounters and the ones on Ebay are mostly fake ones. I haven't tried the EDT or EDP, the Parfum was my first from this line, but from what I hear the EDT/EDP are significantly different than the Parfum version. My recommendation is to get a decant from somebody and try it out before you buy a full bottle.

For me, the EDT is not impressive. The EDP is better than the EDT, but I have yet to smell the pure parfum/ parfum Odds are, it will be very rich, slightly different, but yet hold true to the original’s DNA The Parfum will be the best buy considering that one or two sprays will last AND project all day

The one I received did not have a box, which is another big red flag. Fakes will likely come in a plain white tester box. You can check other videos for the box, since I didn't have one for comparison.
