Ever wondered what the high end of freeze-dried backpacking meals looks like? REAL Turmat is a Norwegian brand of outdoors food known for its great taste. We put 6 of their meals to the test.

We had these meals doing the fjallraven classic in 2016, loved them ever since. Can't believe we could just take as many as we needed for the 6-7 day hike, buy suppose included in the price. Just bought 6 meals today for my weekend hikes :) a nice treat.

Yupp, it’s pricy, but really good. Me and my kids made a complete test of the meals some years ago. Maybe I should text the videos. The erindrer meal is amazing.
REAL is always my 1st choice of meal when outdoors! Also you should look into Summit to eat. They make some good stuff as well! That's my second on the list!

That was the original plan, but only Real Turmat responded when we reached out. We might do some more meal reviews in the future (I'm liking Firepot ATM). Pity they get so few views.
Turmat is a norwegian word and literally just means “hiking food”
