You need to hunt unicorn in remote backwaters of Scotland. Not as easy to track as Haggis but a decent challenge to stalk & claim for a feast. Gotta put the effort in if you want to eat well!

I like all Real Turmat food. When I go hiking to Finnish lapland, i've planned that trip for weeks if not months. I dont care what it costs. I planned that. Then I carry these foods. When I go for just over night, I take fresh food. It is all just a bought weight that you carry. And I have to say that these Real Turmat (Norvegian), are the best tasting that I have tried! Greetings from Finland...

Turmat in Norwegian translates roughly to Hiking food. Tur (sounds like tuur with a long vowel) = hike Mat (sounds like maat with a long vowel) = food I might be a bit off on that me being Swedish, but roughly it should be something like that. Keep it up, love the videos 👍👋🇸🇪

It’s in Norwegian I’m afraid, but there is a conclution at the end of the last one. My favourite meal right now is the Bacalao and the Salomon. You have an excellent point about the corners, be sure to stir propert 😊👍 Stay frosty 😊👍

I really love the Real Turmat meals. However, I only buy them as a luxury item when I really wanna chill. It's too expensive having these meals as a main source of food on your hikes. Personally I haven't noticed any package with too much salt, that might be personal taste. But what I have a problem with is I always get some dry chuncks that have not been hydrated, so I need to have it soak in the water for 5 minutes over the original time. Lovely video btw, as always!

Reindeer is the highest protein content in the Deer Family. Higher than Muntjack Roe Fallow Sika and Red Deer. Although all are higher than Beef. It all depends how much Protein you need. As just a basic over nighter does not require Rudolf

Salt is needed in relation to your sweat. Athletes, construction workers, roofers, asphalt layers etc can lose grams of salt through sweating. I over sweat just sitting still, and always travel with salt. I have not gone past the shaking/collapsing stage into full convulsions, coma and death due salt lost, but that outcome is a real outcome for many unfortunately. It is a meal meant for a person being physically active and actively losing salt through perspiration.

REAL TURMAT might be the 'Bentley' of freeze-dried meals. From watching so many reviews over the years, this BRAND seems to be the way to go: flavor and calories at the end of a cold, wet day. £20 for only 578 calories! 2,000-3,000 calories required, on a normal day. That would be an expensive option! If you’re not carrying your load too far, stick to ‘proper food’. However, a few of them in your Bergen will be good ‘in case of emergency’.

For £20 I could buy a reindeer and have it cook itself.

£20 is too rich for my blood. Like I wouldn't even spend that at a restaurant, let alone a camp meal.

20 quid, these costs about 9-10 pound in norway, where they're from, still feel they're expensive then. xD They all kind of taste the same, rice salty as fck, not great but convenient.
