the figure that is moving has a magnet in his feet. I used a magnet underneath the floor to animate him. I thought it would be cool to see something moving around. lol

Where did you get your kitchen sink, refrigerator and microwave? I’m in the process of building my painted lady dollhouse

I am building the same model. Yours is so inspiring. Mines not nearly as nice, but I’m still enjoying the project so much. Can I asked what you used for your balcony and entrance flooring? It turned out beautiful. Paint just seems so bland.

Nice video; nice house. I LOVED seeing Golden Girls on the TV. That was my mother’s and my favorite show. Looks like you used magnets 🧲 under each floor to move the guys around. That was my guess, for what my guess is worth. Fun to see.

You are exactly right, I used magnets to move the figures for the video. What may not be so obvious is I used magnetic paper on the walls to hide the stranded wires for all the lights. With thin, cheap, small metal pieces glued to the wall I wired all the lights. The thin metal pieces gave me just the thickness of the wire, which I then hid behind the magnetic printing paper with wall paper applied. It's only the main door wall's in the middle of the house. I did it that way so in the future if I need to run a new fixture I can just remove the fake wall panel.

The TV is a cheap mp3 player with the battery removed and hardwired to the DC power. It only has two videos downloaded to it.

GREAT VIDEO! I have been debating buy the kit, but I'm going to go buy it today. I love the natural wood look of the exterior, how did you accomplish that? Wood stain? Also, where did you get that awesome little tv that you put on top of the fireplace?! I will be following and hope to see more videos!

Thank you very much! I used oak stain, and the TV is just a cheap MP3 player with some videos saved on it. The key to this doll house is the first floor. Take your time. Line everything up, and the rest will go perfect. There are a lot of build videos that help also.
