The stairs really sold the tour. Thanks for the ideas for updating a Victoria exterior!!

This was a really nice build. I love how you did the wood-work and the "linoleum" or tile in the kitchen area. Really great ideas.

Thank you sir. Little tip's I learned..Take your time making sure all three floors line up with one another in the first few steps of the build. It's really the key to everything else falling into place. Another one would be pre paint everything. But, dry fit and pencil mark anywhere there will be glue, as glue does not play well with painted surfaces. I taped each step in place with masking tape, marked it, then painted anything I could. Just stay out of the pencil marks. Oh, and do yourself a favor and go right ahead and dye the shingles, set them on a screen or cardboard to dry. They will be ready when you need them. Have fun!

Good tips. I've started painting a couple of primer coats, then I'll move on to the "real" colors. Looking ahead, I'd like a few tricks to running electricity to it. I know about the tape they sell for it, but hiding it is another thing. I'm also not sure how you find the tape once it's hidden behind wallpaper or in the attic. I'd appreciate if you could enlighten me about it whenever you get time. It'll be a while before I'm tackling that. Thanks again!

well, I used normal dollhouse wire. I glued magnets around the perimeter of the main first and second walls. I then wallpapered over magnetic printing paper. Once the wood trim goes up you will not see the small gap, plus if you ever need to the wall detaches with a slight pull and exposes the wiring. I ran the wire underneath material I choose for the carpet for the over head lights. As far as the third floor I use lamps plugged into wall sockets from under the carpet. This worked great, if you watch the video again, the walls around the front doors on each floor is actually 1/16 further out than the real wall, and the wires for each floor is ran under carpet all the way underneath the foundation to a power block.

I’m putting together a doll house for my granddaughters, I search what others have done for inspiration. On some of the videos the camera is way too close to really see things. Oh well…

Boy, I really hate to ask this, but I'm seeing this for the first time and with your beautiful camera work, it's hard to tell. What scale is this? Parts look 1:6 and parts look 1:12. Also, where is this kit available? This truly has to be the most beautiful doll house I have ever seen! Absolutely GORGEOUS!

Goodness those are kind words! Sure are refreshing in the world we live in nowadays. Thank you so so much. The dollhouse is a 1/12th scale kit called The Painted Lady, available at Hobby Lobby. The dollhouse is made by Real Good Toys. My wife always wanted a dollhouse when she was growing up, so I thought I would try to build her one. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I boy I know now! Thanks Again.
