I'd still be bothered even if they did pay for it but that's mostly because I am the type to book somewhere interesting and unique for the experience and opportunity to take some photos... If I wanted a hotel I would look up hotels not Airbnb's... planning a trip is a stressful process... Imagine someone intentionally misleading you for someone else's entertainment... 5 star means nothing to me.

If the actual accommodations weren’t an upgrade, then I’d be pissed. Especially if I were looking for something specific. But I guess if so, I’d pay more attention to the pictures. It may still be annoying to some people though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is the most exquisite dollhouse I have ever seen, they even have a messy supply room, super cute. Not sure on the gentleman's name but he has a beautiful manicure.

I was so worried they wouldn't have place to stay and what if it was a last minute planned trip, I felt so bad, but then you guys had a hotel arranged and everything 👌🏼

You guys are doing public service here! During the Cricket World Cup, I traveled around the country following the team. I most of the time, I just travelled for the day with my dad, but for Southampton, I wanted to take my mum and sister as they love ships. I had saved up for 2 years, literally not even taking the bus and walking so as save money for my dream of following the team around the country. Booking 2 rooms at decent hotels would have been too expensive so I looked at Air BnB. I almost booked one, but for some reason, something felt off. I did a reverse image search and it turns out the original photos came from Hong Kong and the place didn't exist in Southampton! In the end, I booked another Air BnB place, which was amazing and the hosts were super sweet, but also just to be safe, I booked in a hotel with free cancellation. i was super worried and am so glad that it was all okay as it would have been heartbreaking for me to try and do something nice for the family and end up in a mess.

It was probably the cheapest listing in that area at £87 a night so I’m guessing that’s what drew them in?

This is absolute gold. Airbnb is rubbish. I stayed in a place in Auckland and the woman kept a camera in the room and kept texting me things she would only know if she was in the locked room. Airbnb refused to give me a refund and said that I couldn't mention it in the review because it "wasn't about the place you rented".

Brilliant. Just found this randomly and loved it. Can't wait to see more
