In this episode, I show you how to build an under stairs cupboard, by first, making a stud wall and then adding panneling. I've designed it so the door can be opened wide to view the shelves inside, which we'll be building and fitting in the next episode!
I really hope you'll enjoy this episode and pick up lots of tips for your own projects.
If you enjoy making dolls furniture and miniatures, you'll love my books, I've published 5 so far and they're all available to purchase from Amazon - just search for Julie Warren - or you can order them from my Etsy shop.

Hello Julie, hope you're well. Where would we be without you! I've just finished building my under-stair cupboard! Yes it was fiddly and wasn't as neat as yours 😀, its sitting neatly under the stairs after trimming and sanding, woop! woop! 😀. It's ready for painting. I had to train my brain not to rush, it was then I remembered to leave a space for the skirting😱 😀. It all came together after a few days and I'm really, really chuffed with it. The shelves inside are next. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You you're a marvel. 😀

I am so mesmerized by how you build everything. Sometimes I think oh I can do that and then as it goes on I'm like yeah I don't think so lol. Absolutely phenomenal!.. at the very end of the video when the wall was slightly sticking out and you could see the skirting past the stairs I was like oh that's sticking out and right when I thought that you reached out and pushed it in! LOL.. thank you thank you for such an amazing journey through your miniature world..

Hello Julie. I'm about to attempt this very shortly, it's amazing! At the moment I'm building a book shelf for the nursery, there are 3 babies in there so they need space for their cots! The shelves will hold their toys, nappies, etc, and their nanny, bless her, needs a chair to sit on when she finally gets them to sleep! 😀. See you soon, Take Care and keep safe

Could make this under stairs cupboard, a little downstairs loo :)
@JulieWarren

That's a good idea! I've turned mine into a storage cupboard, but a little loo and sink unit would look good!
This was so useful. My ceilings have not been standard height because the house I was building followed a Georgian pattern in which as one goes up the floors the ceilings get lower. Thus they had to have stairs with 180 degree turns to accommodate the different heights. But my new house I will build after the 1st will have straight shot stairs and I always think the area under the stair is ugly. This is such a good solution. Thanks!

@@JulieWarren ah ok. My son has presented me with an early Christmas gift 🎁...your 2018 book! I so made up. Its been a tough year all round and with my mum being so ill miniaturing has been my 'me' time...I'm even overhauling my nativity...its got a tiny little glowing fire and has been re-illuminated....honestly, I'm dangerous with PVA and a craft knife lately 😄
