It took me an entire year to finish making this video because I don't do well with TBR's and read these too far apart, but made it eventually. 😅 Have you read these three books? Do you think they're worth the high rating?

This was such an interesting idea! I now want to go and see what my highest rated book is on my TBR. I'm just starting with Way of Kings now (100 pages in) and from what little I have seen of Shallan I don't really like her. 😅 But maybe that changes, I only had one chapter so far! I think I would love the Nightingale. I haven't read a lot of books in that setting/time period but everything that I have picked up I loved so maybe I need to give this one a try.

Shallan has a really interesting character arc! I also didn't like her much in the first book. And as for WW2 historical fiction, definitely recommend The Nightingale and also All The Light We Cannot See, both were beautiful and heartbreaking. Oh and obviously The Book Thief if you haven't already read it. 😊

My top rated are probably both Kingkiller Chronicle novels by Patrick Rothfuss and the graphic novel Saga by Brian K. Vaughan.

Isamina, Love your channel !!!! can you possibly do a video or share , as a writer.. how to manage time between reading and writing. Both are important, but when I am writing, I feel I should be reading so I can be a better writer, then... when I am reading, I think I should be writing, because "writers write" the cycle repeats... Ugh.

I *hated* The Nightingale. I read it for my "Try Not to Cry" challenge. Ugh. Probably the most overrated book of all time.

@@IasminaEdina I think Hannah’s historicals are perfect for people who don’t ever read historical fiction but for major histfic fans - the consensus seems to be generally negative among us. 😸 She is really is great for people who don’t read historical fiction though.
