Freddie always brings the emotion.

Having seen Queen live 3 times with Freddie Mercury, I can confirm that they sound EXACTLY as the album. This was before lip-syncing, dancers, etc. I remember closing my eyes for one of their songs at the concert to feel exactly as the song was on their record. Freddie is friggin' amazing live!!! Actually mind blowing!!

I saw them live several times starting from 1975 and oh yeah, much better live, absolute perfection. 🥰 Can't beat Freddie or any of them.

I love this song, Brian really did a great job writing it and Freddie just fills it with all his emotion. Every band member is spot on for this performance. Thank you for revisiting this song and reacting to this performance.

Thanks for showing the Friday version. Freddie's voice was better on Friday and John's bass was more out front in this version too. Love it.

Notice that Freddie was singing without an in ear monitor.... because they didn't exist! All they had were on stage monitors. Meaning he couldn't hear himself as well as singers nowadays can. This is my favorite live version of the song, by the way.

Just cannot hear this song without tearing up. It's impossible.

Guys, FYI... QUEEN LIVE is (almost always) BETTER than their studio recordings. ...As a matter of fact, they are the ONLY band renowned for being better live! (There are some cases where their studio versions can't be replicated live, due to intricate harmonies etc... But 90% of the time, LIVE BEATS STUDIO.)

Best rock band EVER!!!

YAAAY... THANKS for making my morning! (And I was THRILLED to see the Friday night Wembley performance... almost everyone just defaults to the better-known Saturday concert, but Freddie's voice was in much better shape the first night.)

In my opinion you didn't pick up the right one. Saturday version is much better. Check out White queen live at the Odeon 75 it's a mind blowing.

Friday is better in general. Only the guitar solo on Saturday is better. Freddie had a cold on Saturday.

I attended many Queen concerts live , they were absolutely amazing live, and all the members of Queen have written no1 hits and Queens greatest hits is the best selling album of all time in the Uk 🇬🇧 , they were also amazing talented musicians!

You can't go wrong with Queen live! Might have been one of the best live bands on this planet for sure! Enjoy your Queen journey! Cheers from Germany!

In the Freddie tribute Concert (a MUST see) Brian sings this song and it's like he is singing directly to Freddie....it's marvelous

The best live band there ever was. So yes Live is how I love Queen 99.9% of the time. This was just one song in a 2hr plus concert. Most singers would be fucked stamina wise and voice wise just after that. Lol The effort was immense.

Check out under pressure from this concert. And they did a fan edit of the studio version but with footage from Wembley 86 and then David Bowie with the rest of queen at the tribute concert also at Wembley after freedy died . ( but id recommend looking at both or the original studio release ( or video l) the live then the edit . They are all a little different. Especially the live freedy commands the audience.

On what ended up being their last US tour in '82, yes, they were incredibly good.

I think the live Budapest version of this song is the best. You might as well just listen to all of them.

Wow!! Love this version live!! Freddie is master of ceremonies!! I also love the version in Budapest!! Brian May wrote this for the Highlander movie soundtrack starring Sean Connery, Christopher Lambert, & Clancy Brown. In fact, all members of Queen wrote a song for the soundtrack. PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE, GIMME THE PRIZE, A KIND OF MAGIC, ONE YEAR OF LOVE! ⚔️🛡 The movie is worth a watch!! 👍

Beautiful song

Basically, the Friday concert was held in rather cold rain, the band struggled to keep playing and it got on all their nerves. Granted: They still had a really, really great night of a performance - but I always say: Watch the sunny, wonderful Saturday performance first (and maybe a thousand times more), and then watch Friday's performance to see what's different etc. But if you want the best performance, it's always Saturday.

Any song performed live by Queen is fantastic. 1 exception is the video of "I Want To Break Free.'❤❤❤❤❤

Some of us who can't get enough go the the Live in Budapest performance too. Visually dramatic and lush vocals too. - but each live performance has a different vibe all its own. Yep, pulls at the heart and puts it on the table. Queen gems do. From that same film score is One Year of Love. Yikes! Never done live, but with those vocals, the song soars and lives on its own, forever.

The official studio version of this song is even better, even though this one is great.

Queen live ? .. pretty much every time .. most of their tracks were designed to be played live , even the intricate and complex ones, such as Prophets Song..

You picked the wrong video for this live performance at Wembley, check out Freddie M85. Freddie's voice is stronger and Brian's solo is superb.

Come back tomorrow (07/18) for our Led Zeppelin series. We made some changes. Early on we had a lot of people complain that we were talking too much during the song. We got to a point that we didn't make a sound during the song.

Budapest is the best version of this….

I know a lot of Queen fans are not fans of Queen with Adam Lambert. I LOVE both. For an equally emotional live version of this song, you should watch this one. It's the day after the Orlando nightclub shootings. Roger Taylor and Brian May were both blown away by this performance and said it was the best this song has ever been performed by anyone, and they think Freddie would agree. I still love Freddie's version, too. I think it's OK to recognize that he was the greatest and that another person can also be great. We don't have to choose. I wouldn't necessarily recommend reacting to this because you'll take a lot of crap, but if people refuse to recognize that this performance is also astonishingly amazing, it's only because they decided in advance to hate anything by Adam. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l3yE2JppmrHVgbg.html

@GetSideways did you watch the one I attached? It’s kind of fun to see Brian and Roger still at it 50 years later. Brian’s 74th birthday was a few days ago and Roger will be 71 soon.

Freddie's voice isn't the best on this, and the studio polished version is way better with Brian's vocal parts.
