sorry for commenting on such an old video, and sorry if someone else has already pointed this out, but on the Wikipedia article for this album, it lists *this song* as being written by Herman, Sam, and Fred... and aside from lyrics, this is actually the *only* song on the album for which Herman has songwriting credit! Which makes it all the more hilarious that he absolutely could not remember it🤣

7:55 when you think the chorus should repeat one more time with a key change but realize that's what you wrote already and you're proud of yourself.

Its actually pretty common for musicians to forget songs they don't play often

When recording this, the band just put a guitar next to Herman and it played itself while he was listening to and audiobook

Riffs, melodies, solos, slow clean section and clean solo, bridge, keys solo, chorus with key change at end. If it had a bass solo it would have everything.

Mozart wrote like 60 symphonies, most of them within a 20 year span. And his ninth is not particularly famous, so it wouldn't be that surprising. You may be thinking of Beethoven, though.

This was one of my fave Dragonforce songs of all time. Love that clean section, masterpiece! Saw you guys twice and you didn't play it!

I specifically remember hearing some of the Key and Guitar solos of this song on the bonus Behind the Scenes video that was shot during the recording of the album

Honestly I can see how he could have forgotten. Some bands just write songs on the fly and kinda forget about them - I've written less than 20 songs and already forgot what 2 or 3 of them sound like, and I hardly remember recording them. I started writing music barely a year ago...

at about 5:10 when Herman talks about going to a show and not hearing a song. that as me when they were in Cardiff last year touring the extreme power metal album. I heard of them before but never really listened but after seeing them they are with no doubt my favorite band ever !!!

I can relate to Herman. I went to a DragonForce show in Jakarta, Indonesia back in 2007 without EVER listened to a single DragonForce song before in my life. I didn't even know who they were. I only went because tickets was like $3 (no kidding, it was IDR 50,000). I had literally no idea what was happening, I remember there was a wind machine under the guitarist feet and his hair was waving. But I was hooked when they played Through The Fires and Flames and have been a fan ever since.
