Not really, as Davie504 and CharlesBerthoud have been rivals prior to Charles making the video Herman is reacting to. He says he has to stick up for Davie504 because they're both bass players. It's okay to compete against each other, but when one is attacked by other musicians, they unite.

What I liked the most, is how you draw a line between Herman Li Pro Musician and Herman Li KZreadr, and how these videos ("the war series") are not being taken personal, but made for fun and trolling the internet.

This is so awesome, I am so happy I get to see all this musicians in daring each other... really makes me wanna play an instrument makes me appreciate how important it is to get into music since your childhood, I am certainly gonna try my best to get my daughters into music! Love you all you beautifull crazy ppl !!

As a DragonForce fan, I think that, although the band has remained famous from "the guitar hero song", they have actually released really good albums since Marc Hudson joined the band. Sure, their first 4 albums were great, but they have since added a healthy dose of experimentation and kept things fresh. That said, with all of this situation in which bands struggle to play live, I am just happy to see that DragonForce (specially Herman) is succeeding at this and keeping the band relevant.

Play a tune with Charles, you both are crazy rad musicians, large KZread followings etc. Nice back and forth riffs, add a loop with the rhythm guitar and the bass groove tracks, add some drums, synth etc, or play those parts on a guitar and bass as well on the looper. @@tankslapper4686 I agree. I started watching Davie and enjoyed his videos. Even saw when he first had Charles on his Fiver video. His newer videos are super annoying though, nothing but meme reaction videos just to post videos for the 10 minute mark. Charles definitely destroyed Davie in their battle.

guitar hero/rock band is nice, but seeing you live when i was 18 was the best i waited outside in the rain to get an autogragh on Ultra Beatdown was Milkwaukee 2009. Cant wait for your next works

You are spot on about Charles. It seems this is partially about his desire to show people his superiority vs Davie504. Charles only has a small fraction of Davie’s subscribers despite being the superior bassist, and I’m sure that doesn’t seem fair to him. I hope Charles continues to make quality music videos and doesn’t get sucked into making lowbrow content to appeal to all the maladjusted Internet trolls.

Whilst it's true that Charles at least has the superior technical ability, I don't think I'd say that he's bitter about it. Ultimately Davie created that niche on KZread and at least indirectly many of the largest KZread bassists will recognise they owe some of their success to his pioneering of the instrument on the platform. Just look at how many way better violinists TwoSet have on their channel. Are they salty that TwoSet are more famous despite inferior skills overall? Of course not because they recognise their ability and also what they have done in regards to bringing their instrument to mass notice which in turn gives them more of a platform too. There is ultimately enough space for many more than just 1 channel for each instrument with their own distinct styles and fanbases without it becoming a competition.

I love your comment about Through the Fire and Flames sucking. I'd love to know your favorite Dragonforce song. Mine is either Last Journey Home (that bass drop after the breakdown slays me) or The Last Dragonborn or Cry Thunder if I need to be hyped up. Keep up the good work!
