If you dig a big deeper historically, it was nothing short of amazing how they really turned the tide with Gee when considering just awhile back people were literally booing them in 2008 during Dream Convert (black ocean) and then became nation's girl group.... so seeing their success in 2009 with all the hardship in 2008 just makes me happy

Oh man watching all of this giving me nostalgia, I got into kpop AND snsd in 2008 so I got to go through ALL of this in real time, used to stay up wil like 4am just to watch their lives, wait days or weeks for translators to make subs for their reality shows and even watch like full shows and stuff to watch 20 seconds of the girls appearance 🤣 I was die hard and psychotic lmao good times, good times.

For me,SNSD most remarkable achievementhad a big part paving the road for the Girls Group,They are the blueprint for new girl groups. A yr after their debut, in 2008 there were 4x more new groups. Thanks to SNSD and other amazing 2ndGen kpop groups, people and the media all over the world started to pay attention and invest more into the industry. New groups, companies, jobs were created. Lots of promising new talent are in the business today because they were inspired by SNSD. The girls' amazing experience made me feel so proud to be a SONE. 15:41 I think it is common for SM to fom a vocal sub unit, it happened in almost all group under their management. BUT, I do think Sica was a little bit dissapointed, at least that's what I feel from seeing her performance clip from that era. Her expressions on stage has changed several months before the tragedy. That one clip that show "lazy" Sica back then was I think quite legit, she became expressionless on stage. I really really love OT9 but that's what I saw as a 15 years SONE. After all they're all human, they could do something wrong or having misundertanding between members, but as a true SONE I would continue to love them all (9) in my whole life I promise.
