Kirstin is 100% a Disney princess

Superfruit’s “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked is definitely worth watching!

The same blonde wig makes another appearance in Superfuit's cover of 'Defying Gravity'. Once again while they are basically just goofing around, Mitch absolutely SLAYS it.

There was a bit of alcohol involved in this shoot and they are still amazing! I love Superfruit! Their Empire Medley is sooo good! For one of their funny videos check out their yoga challenge video or the condom challenge with Todrick Hall.

Mitch has definitely done his share of "low" notes. In their cover of "Take on Me" from their Classics album, his range goes from A2 to A5. And, as others have said, this was a wine-driven performance. There is also a "real" version of Let it Go on one of their Christmas albums. The lead goes back and forth between Kirstie and Mitch so seamlessly it's hard to tell which one is singing.

You made me laugh at this all over again! The other Disney song they covered was "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from the Lion King...big Kirstin part, so yeah you'll love that one 👍

😊You gotta remember that they were all in community theater and choirs growing up so they are not new to acting. They didn't form their Trio to perform a cappella until high school. What can you say, they are all multi-multi-talented!

Yesss my favorite ptx song ever

This medley was such a hoot! And they had so much fun doing it. Even when they're just screwing around, they're amazing. All three of them were involved in musical theater since they were about 8 years old, so the getting into character is in their DNA. Mitch definitely has a knack for expressing the emotions with his eyes. He also can sing in a lower register (he's used that part of his range more in some of their recent songs than many of their earlier work, and as others have mentioned, he reaches way down in "Take on Me"... when I first listened to it, I thought Scott had taken over the melody line, but it was all Mitch!). The wrap on his hand represented the one remaining glove that Elsa ripped off at that point in the song. Kirstie is definitely Disney Princess material! They're missing a huge bet if they don't have her voice one at some point, and if they ever have another Latina Princess, it'll be pitchforks and torches if they don't approach her to voice the role!

"Why would I even think it?" .... because they are totally toasted! XD

If anyone needs to be a Disney Princess, it’s her. The world needs that. :)

You've got to see "Defying Gravity" (from WICKED) Mitch is absolutely amazing. as long as you're going down the Superfruit rabbit hole.

Your joy was so infectious!!! They have played this game since childhood...who can sing the worst the longest. Honestly, my choir and theatre friends did the same. It takes great control to sing just sharp enough to sound terrible and to sustain in. I laughed so hard the first time I saw it. So happy you are willing to indulge us on these. Defying Gravity and LalaLand are next. Scott mocks Ryan Gosling’s singing choices...in a fun way not a mean way.

These early videos of them just being super-talented goofballs are a large part of how Pentatonix gained their massive following. They were just choir kids like so many of us, but they developed their amazing natural gifts and put out content that was both relatable and excellent. We all wanted to be them, and as we watched them build their brand from scratch, they made us feel like we could be. 💕

Definitely watch "Defying Gravity". Mitch could use it as a Broadway audition tape despite how ridiculous the makeup is. Kirstin also joins them for their "La La Land Medley". and if you ask Scott and Mitch about what was going on about 40 seconds in, they will claim they have no idea what you are talking about.

Came for your Evanescence reactions - stayed for Superfruit. Yes, my taste in music is a hot mess.

I'm sure someone has already told you that Kirstie was on broadway. Her, Scott and Mitch were all in musical theater in high school. And they did sing a song for the cartoon Ugly Dolls but totally agreee, they should do be doing more animated cartoons and/or have their own broadway show!

So Scott, Mitch and Kirsten have been together since High School as a group and doing Music Theatre....and they practically live together most of the time....which explains why they are so good and so in sync all the time.

Friggin hilarious is Right! Loves it!!! This one cracks me up every time, and it was even better with you added reaction and laughs made it that much more fun! Thanks again Eddie. And Thank you Courtney!

If you continue doing superfruit reactions, i highly recommend reacting to Defying Gravity

The "bandage" on Mitch's hand is supposed to simulate the Elsa's single glove that she rips off her right hand in the movie. If you want to see more singing + acting from these three, you should check out the Superfruit videos Pop Goes Broadway and La La Land Medley. The blonde wig also shows up in the videos for Pop Goes Broadway and Defying Gravity (the latter is just Scott & Mitch). The trio is featured on Todrick Hall's Black & White video. All 5 members of PTX (including your fave Avi) star in Todrick's mini Wizard of Oz musical, "The Wizard of Ahhhs". The entire PTX group did another Disney song - Can You Feel The Love Tonight, from The Lion King. Other songs from musicals - Waving Through A Window (from Dear Evan Hansen), Seasons Of Love (from RENT), What Is This Feeling (from Wicked), The Greatest Show (from The Greatest Showman), We're All Made Of Stars (from Finding Neverland), and Once Upon A December (from Anastasia). PTX also did an a cappella version of Let It Go with Mitch and Kirstie sharing the lead; it's on the That's Christmas To Me album. Kirstie has done guest vocals twice with Voctave - first time with former fiancé Jeremy on the Disney Love Medley and again most recently on Show Yourself (from Frozen 2). Kirstin also did a stint in the Broadway musical Kinky Boots. You should be able to find videos on KZread of her performing with the cast. Scott is in original musical video "Ghost" with Frankie that is basically a parody of the musical Grease. Scott and Mitch sing & act in a number of their Superfruit videos - the aforementioned Defying Gravity, Guy.exe (and the rest of their original Future Friends album), Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 & 2. They also do a non-singing Stranger Things re-enactment with some friends that is hysterical. The trio also guest star on an episode of the tv series Bones and they all get to sing and act. You should be able to find those clips posted in a single video you can react to.

Kirstie has been on a Disney princess track and they always call PTX for christmas parades and concerts

I know this is three years old BUT they did release an official PTX Yule Log version of Let It Go and it is amazing.

Yess...Kirstie is ABSOLUTELY a real-life Disney princess. And you can tell that all the musical theater the three of them did as kids really paid off later in life. This is one of the funniest videos ever made! You can tell, especially during the bloopers, that they've been close friends ever since they were little kids. BTW, I started paying for Premium just to get rid of the ads.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but since you asked why Disney hasn't approached them, they actually did. They didn't approach them for acting roles, but they do have an appearance in Teen Beach Movie singing a song called Cruisin' for a Bruisin'.

This was actually just them goofing around at their apartment having a few bottles of wine one evening. lol Back when their Superfruit was just their vlogs to connect with fans. This is what musical theater kids do for fun! Such a great reaction!!! I love how much you enjoyed this!

Lol... even goofing around, they sound amazing. I hate them... not. My cheeks were hurting after watching this. Oh... they make me so happy. And it sure brings back childhood memories when my friends and I would put a play together (with magic tricks intermission provided by my brothers) with a blanket hanging from the drying rope outside, as a show curtain. The fact that these three have been friends since middle (high?) school is so very evident here! And OK, I finally get it. His name is *Eddie* - “Newfie” is likely short for Newfoundland, the Canadian province he’s from. I thought I heard some Canadian vowel pronunciations in other videos, but his “charismatic” sealed the deal. (I *hope* I’m right, but I’m no stranger to being stupid so no big whoop if I’ve done it again.)

Mitch can actually sing lower than most people think. He is a total pro. Even with the drinking that was going on during the filming he knew to close his eye when they were distracting him more than he could handle.

4:55 Idk if you’ve seen the Grinch (2018), like the animated one...but in one of the scenes there’s awesome scene where this group of people caroling sing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and are like aggressively dancing and chasing the Grinch. random story: when this was first uploaded it soon after got blocked in Australia. Then, PTX performed at some Disney celebration and they must've negotiated something or Disney realised PTX was a good thing for them cause it reappeared (thankfully - it's a go-to when I need a cheer up), then Let It Go was a bonus track on a PTX Christmas album, Kirsten did her thing with Voctave and they did Can You Feel The Love Tonight. So it seems they're in Disney's good graces these days. With any luck it's only a matter of time before Mitch or Kirsten are princesses😊

Disney HAS approached them! Disney Channel at least. They were on at least one show and did a promo version of a song from the Disney Channel movie Teen Beach Movie. "Crusin' For A Bruisin'" I believe it's called if I'm remembering correctly. They had so much fun with that one! 😁 EDIT: I confess that I loved their Sesame Street appearance a bit more, but only because they were so damn adorable on it, lol.
