This was a good TV series and political satire about 15 years ago. Those are all famous Finnish actors. The humour can be difficult to understand if you don't know much about Finnish people, society, culture and politics, but for someone from the UK it shouldn't be too difficult to get. We like the same kind of dry humour and British humour has always been popular in Finland.

This was easily the best political satire show in Finland, highly recommended to watch more of them :)

I agree, this is perfect! Have watched several times, they did a wonderful job with this.

They mentioned potential next president candidates, Niinistö and Stubb. Well, Niinistö has now served his two periods (2*6 years) and will be replased by Stubb on the 1st of Mars.

Ihmisten puolue was one of the greatest shows ever. I have watched it many many times. Unbeliavable acting, it really feels like theyre just normal people in spontanious conversation.

As a swede.. it says that we are kinda similar in the Nordic countries! In anycase where it comes to stereotypes!

We watched the show at school, in philosophy class, and then analyzed it in groups.

I LOVE Ihmisten Puolue! By far the best Finnish political satire ever. So smart, so funny, still heartly!

The show was a humorous take on a populist party. They discussed about actual topics in their weekly meetings and then summed up their political stand on those topics. Some personal relationships were also dealt with. There's another episode with English subtitles available: "Ihmisten Puolue (People's Party) - Alcoholism (With Subtitles)". Their Christmas party got a bit out of hands: "Ihmisten puolue - Pikkujoulut". In this show were probably their voters: "Fakta homma - Gallup ja naiset ratissa (kausi 1)". Wouldn't it be fun to be able to speak Finnish?: "Velipuolikuu Comedy - Finnish Language Lesson !". Some years earlier: "Hello,hello,hello (kieli-tv 1974)".

I haven't seen this before, it's funny! About 30-40 years ago, most Finnish people were much more quiet (or shy) than nowadays. Or not, if drunk. Thank you for this!

It's the best political satire there has been. It has such a great episodes it's insane. I like to critisize YLE (basically finnish government funded media) when there's time for it, but this is one of the best things they ever created.

Ihmisten puolue is one of my favourite shows; I rewatch it at least once a year 😀

I think you should make more reaction videos from this series. One other series you can try is Sunnuntailounas (Sunday lunch).

It is a parody of our former president Niinistö who always attenuated his message.

This was not a very good episode but there are some that are probably the most hilarious Finnish satires. This was a really good show.

This is even older than that, aired 2008 - 2010, so Halonen was the president.

I loved Spede Show! Back in the '80s when I grew up, we used to watch it together with the whole family. Definitely worth checking, if there are any clips with English subtitles.

My favourite of Ihmisten puolue is internet talk, i dont remember the name of it...

That was exactly to the point; Finnish people , in general, are modest in their attitude. It's the EXACT opposite to American attitude. American's are like "Yea! I'm the best!, Murica, Murica, USA, USA" and so forth - whereas Finnis people almost always downplay themselves. Being a loudmouth and overly confident is seen as being arrogant, uncultured, rude and inconsiderate towards other people in Finland. And if you think about it - we Finns are actually factually right. Actually Factually - I think I just accidentally stared a new meme...oh god...
