I sense a lot of Tom Petty chops in his songwriting, especially in this tune, Chris is king!

The Starting Over album has great variety, I really like Watch You Burn, Whiskey Sunrise, and Maggie's Song are all great choices.

"Amanda" live at the grand ole opry

Have you been introduced to Small Town Titans? They are a rock band out of PA (you may have seen their viral video, the rock/metal-ish version of, "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," which I listen to year round), but they are so versatile and can't be really definitively categorized. They have some great covers that they completely make their own ... "Sex & Candy" (bluesy, stanky, raw in the best possible way, but the video is not my favorite), "Halleleujah" (completely raw and emotion filled - goosebumps - put a ton of fry in parts of it), and of course, Grinch, which really shows the lead singer's huge range. But their original stuff is crazy good. Depending on what you're looking for, try "The Man" for straight up rock and an older one is "Devil's Choir" - that one has a goofy video, but the music is impeccable with a fugue in the middle of it, "Dragonfly" is a tear jerker, need-a-box-of-tissues song written by the lead singer during the week leading up to his mom's passing. I played it at my own father's funeral last year. "Behind the Moon" starts with accapella harmony, "Let Me Breathe" is a new rock one. "Rufflin' Feathers" is super high energy rock. And if anyone is looking for an anthem to help them stay walking this earth one more day, "Day That I Die" is incredible. Oh, they also do an amazing cover of "Fat Bottom Girls." Hope that variety intrigues you enough to check them out. (They're not at all similar to Chris Stapleton, I just wasn't sure where else to put this. ;) ) And I loved your Chris Stapleton reactions!

PLEASE tell me you’ve heard his live solo version of Barely Alive. I think the video was posted a couple years ago, but was actually filmed back in 2013... two years before he blew up after the CMAs performance with JT. It’s unbelievable. 🤯

Another suggestion: go to WHISKEYRIFF - 25 Songs Written By Chris Stapleton That You Might Have Forgotten About. A look at some of the over 120 hits he's written for others. You can find him singing most of them himself. Now that he's a star, some of the original recording artists have re-recorded them as duets with him.

If you're looking for something new from Chris, try going old...back to The Steeldrivers band: Sandy Beaches Cruise 12 - Ain't No Way (by Carolyn Franklin, elder sister of Aretha) or Can You Run or If It Hadn't Been For Love (both by Chris & Mike Henderson). That fantastic fiddle is Tammy Rogers. He also sang with The Jompson Brothers band.

I'm not sure if you've watched I Was Wrong live at Austin City Limits, but it is a gooood one. Also, Barely Alive. It's not the greatest quality video, but that's forgotten as soon as Chris strums. Also, he sings Amanda live at the Grand Ol Opry with Morgane as backup just beautifully.

Good reaction. I want to introduce you to a Korean singer. She is such an amazing singer and you won't stop being blown away by her every performance! She originally started out as a Gospel Singer in her church and worked her way up from there. But the reason why she is not mainstream and everywhere is since her reasoning for singing is not for fame or money but to sing for God. Michael Jackson's vocal coach once offered to make her a big star worldwide but she declined politely. She had cervical cancer when she was young, but now she's much better. So she's trying to be humble and do good. Please react to her songs, this is not the end of her amazing singing! But this should get you started.
