This song is on an earlier released album called warmest Winter. They’ve just made a video for it for which we are thrilled!!
I can only add to this reaction is let’s go # HOMEFREE 😊
Home Free performed this song at the Holiday Show in Charlotte on Dec. 1st. Austin really stood out, his voice was perfection.
Adam Rupp is a freak of nature, but they also layer. And in concerts Adam has a loop station. As long as I don't see anything else I assume he does everything at once.
The singing & harmonies are terrific and Adam has gone berserk on the beatboxing! BTW, Rob looks sooo good in that hat! I love their hipster Santa Claus. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
Austin and Adam killed it. Three of the boys are from the south so they probably loved it. Rob and Adam are from Minnesota so they probably didn’t. Loved this. It is impossible to sit still with this one! Always a good sense of humor with these boys. Good one David!🤣
They opened with this at the concert on December 1. It was just as wonderful live as it is recorded. I don’t recall if Adam was at the looper during this one or not.
Someone in the comments under their video said that "Kris Kringle" was played by Devon Werkheiser, whom I've never heard of, but he looks like he had a lot of fun. :)
Adam does a lot of layering on the fly with the loop station in concerts. It's like watching a wizard at work. Watch their live concert version of the Sea Shanty Medley to see him at work.
Thank you for another great reaction - I suspect Adam is multi-tracked, but then he is an alien, so who knows...
Such a fun video ❤ Yes Adam can make more than one sound at a time you can hear that when he does his older solos .
Video has hidden gems ❤

This is such a cool, modern take of a Christmas song. You can’t help but smile throughout the video and it makes you move around! It’s a bop! Love your reaction and analysis. The whole album this is from (Warmest Winter) is a more non-traditional Christmas (there are a couple of regular holiday songs) with some originals. It’s really a great album!
I love it when someone points out something I’d not noticed. Bravo 👏💜
Can't sit still when this song comes on!! #HomeFree #HomeFreeDoesChristmasBest ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Thanks for reacting.
This is such a fun, feel good video. Adam Rupp kills the beatboxing. Just love these guys.💗💗💗
You were so close: 9:18 am (Wednesday). Home Free was my introduction to this song. And now I'm glad I know it. I also appreciated your breakdown; it helps me hear, consciously, what I otherwise wouldn't notice.
Thanks for the reaction! I enjoyed it very much. I’m quite sure Rupp’s beatboxing is layered here.
Great reaction as always! Really appreciate the audio/video knowledge you share in these along with your infectious enthusiasm. I'm relatively sure there is some layering in Adams main fill along with other elements in the song. It's not unusual for them to tweak the arrangement between the video and live versions of a song along with using a loop station as necessary. I did just happen to watch a live concert version of this and one example is that they dropped Tim's low "way down south" presumably because he's busy doing the bass background.
The electric guitar synthy thing is almost always Adam Chance, from my understanding.
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. Thank you for the Home Free reactions
U go boys!! #homefree
What you SAID: "...it's just 2 Canadian dollars..." What I HEARD: "...it's just 2 million dollars..." Wait. WHAT? LOL
David one thing I've noticed that NO REACTORS have caught or said anything about yet, and that the ;lyrics clearly say he's driving a Chevrolet, yet they make it VERY CLEAR he's in a mid-70's Cadillac Eldorado....is there any meaning to this ? They have two shot, one focusing on the grill and then one on the nameplate on the car....can you draw anything from this ? I think that it might be Tim doing it as he and Chance and Austin (but it's not him obviously this time) that ca do some beatboxing....even can do a bit. Again David, yet again a breakdown master class dude !!
What was that highest note? My sister is right - don't be ashamed of not being able to get there. It is well above my alto-ness. Entertaining and educational as usual. I very much enjoyed watching you hear/seee it for the first time. Live from Greeneville last week. "Home Free - Christmas In L. A. - Greeneville, TN - 12/2/2023"
Thos was a video i somehow missed. So fun to listen to & watch. Came back to see pt 2 of your reaction Thanks!! Your reactions are so much fun & informative😊❤
Thanks 😊
Loved your analysis for helping me hear the fine points.
This is so much fun. Amazing vocals. And then, of course, there's Adam going off. I know that he uses a looper in concert if he needs to do more than one layer, but I have no idea what's going on here. Whatever it is, it's impressive. My only complaint is that they substituted a Cadillac for Santa's Chevy. Really?? Still love it, though. Loved your analysis. You always point out some things I hadn't seen or heard before. Oh - and don't feel bad about not hitting that note. I can't hit it either - I'm an alto and he routinely sings higher than I can.
Oops - There's an error in the description (wrong song). Otherwise, what a great analysis! You spot a lot of stuff that others miss.
