What I like about the acapella groups is that they're not actually "competing" with each other. They are totally supportive of each other, for every one of them has their own uniqueness.

@@PanduPoluan Exactly! The groups all have their own sound! The only time there seem to be squabbles is amongst a few fans from time to time. But you never hear it from the groups themselves.

This is like old school country, taking the younger generation to school. You can see just how much they all admire each other. Love it, and your reaction. Thank you!

The Oak Ridge Boys are a legendary gospel/country quartet that are in the Country/Western Hall of Fame. I am sure all the guys in Home Free considered it a great honor to sing with them. The Oak Ridge Boys saw Home performing on the Accapella TV show "The Sing-Off" and were so impressed that they immediately contacted Home Free Management to set up a collaboration ... which you just witnessed ;-)

I love watching someone who really enjoys music as much as you seem to.

Adam's beat boxing is so awesome in this video.

It is fun to see the HF boys singing along with their Oaks counterparts as they are all masters with the harmonies. Great reaction, as usual. btw, I think it's okay to share 'gentle'😉critiques when you have them.

The Oak Ridge Boys is one of my favorite groups. This was cool having the Oak Ridge Boys and Home Free sing together. I loved it, good job.

Apparently, The Oak Ridge Boys have been something of a mentor to Home Free. They have also collaborated with Kenny Rogers on one of his Christmas albums, but it's not strictly a Christmas song. It's called Children, Go Where I Send Thee and Kenny talks at the end about how he met Home Free.

Here's one for your Christmas reactions: Kenny Rogers and HomeFree " Children Go Where I Send Thee " I think you'll enjoy it. This is the song that got me introduced to HomeFree !!

Isn't it amazing how they took an already iconic song (I've listened to it since it 1st came out) and spruce it up, sprinkle a little extra spice on it, and then turn all these awesome guys loose on it. I would have never thought it could be better than the original.

Here a year later.....the Oak Ridge Boys are all still alive & did The Warmest Winter...Christmas Special (they were on it !!!) ...us HOME FRIES paid for it to be produced!!!!! It was AWESOME !!! It was worth it !!!!!

Not sure if you've seen it, but there's a live version of Voiceplay doing Elvira that's worth a watch.

If you have heard this song, you know of Oak Ridge Boys (at least by reputation) since this was originally their song. They are actually one of the groups that HF wants to be included along with, since they were also very harmony based country. Oak Ridge has appeared alongside HF/had HF open for them a few times and have kind of taken them under their wing. From what I’ve heard, whenever they perform together, this song is one of the songs they do. You missed a VoicePlay nod at the end of this video as the arrangement for this was actually done by Geoff (bass man for VP).

This one is fun, and when they all get together they still sing this!. I noticed a few comments about Voiceplay’s Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. You should definitely listen to all of that soon, plus Making Christmas by Pentatonix (it’s also from The Nightmare Before Christmas, therefore a Halloween song!). Also, acapella Christmas music is COMPLETELY different from normal Christmas music. Any time of the year is amazing for acapella Christmas music and it never gets old. Love the reaction and the headphones (I have the same ones in pink and black). When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, the Oak Ridge Boys were my absolute favorite group. The first concert I ever went to was the Oak Ridge Boys. Keep up the great reactions! 😁

Of all the reactions to this song I've seen, I enjoyed yours the most. You get so excited, have so much fun, and that's what I watch these kinds of videos for. Reminds me of my own reaction when I saw this the first time, and how happy it made me. And I agree, the first time you watch something, you should just enjoy it. Then you can start with the analyzing after you watch it, or when you watch it again. All that analyzing gets in the way of a clean first experience if you try to do it at the same time as you're watching it that first time.

i love christmas music, but having worked retail for most of my life, the fact that it starts playing in stores in october now, makes me not want to hear any of it by december. this was such a fun mashup, they looked like they were having a blast

Home Free did a video with Voiceplay I think, not sure, called Survivor, it was like a zombie vs. Hillbilly thing and totally funny, Tim was hilarious.......loved your reaction to this. Loved this song since I was really little, because of the bass. Now even more because of Tim of course, with his bass added in.

If you want to react to Halloween songs I would recommend "grim grinning ghosts" and "this is Halloween" by voiceplay

She's more of a studio singer, plus there was tons of drama with her following Tarja.( the lady on phantom ) You probably won't get many, if any, requests for her. I just wanted to link that, cause she sounds like a witch on that one and Marco does villain better than almost anyone I've ever seen. Except for a couple songs that were sampled , the band is usually free from copyright problems. Fair warning: Nightwish fans are hardcore, but 99.9 % are nice.
