a single indian wedding goes for like days, like a week or so. And it's actually a celebration, as people in India thinks marriage isn't just between 2 people it is between 2 families. Traditional weddings are awesome, I highly recommend for u to join one if possible. Although there're many steps involved in these wedding(which I have no idea what they are, but most of them are fun, yeah MOST of them)

Indian weddings are known to be extravagant. This is a depiction of the same, and it lasts from anywhere between 3 to 5 days on an average. Cauz there are multiple traditions and parties happening before the actual wedding day.
" Yea jawani hai deewani ' is not just a movie but emotions for all indian people. It was a big blockbuster and can't be forgotten ever. ❤❤ I have literally watched it more than 50 times but still give me the same best feeling every time.❤
Guys, it's not their house that they are getting married. In India marriage is so fancy most of the times, so many of the familes will rent a Venue for their marriage. Some will be an auditorium, some rent a 5 star Hotel and some do their ceremony in a Mansion or resort. So in this movie as well they rented a fancy Mansion kind of thing.

Wedding is India is not a one day thing.. there are multiple functions.. spread over days. The actual exchange of garlands/wedding happens in the last day. It's a destination wedding..Udaipur ..city of lakes ..northern part of India not the guys house she is getting married
The nose ring isn't a required thing for a traditional Indian wedding. I don't plan on wearing one whenever I get married simply because it doesn't suit my nose shape. It doesn't for my mother as well, she didn't wear one at her wedding. And traditional weddings vary a lot in India depending on the region. Traditional South Indian weddings for example are quite different from North Indian ones. What is the case though is that there will be several ceremonies, usually spread over multiple days. This movie featured some ceremonies commonly found in North Indian weddings, like haldi (the one where they put the yellow turmeric paste on the bride and groon), they sort of combined it with mehndi (the henna ceremony) which is a combination that does happen in real life too, the sangeet (the choreographed song and dance event where all the family and friends practice and perform) and then finally the actual wedding. Usually there will also be a reception afterwards however for dramatic purposes this movie omitted that and added a pre-wedding party instead which is less common. This would be a very expensive wedding for the very rich but in general even the less wealthy save up to spend a lot on weddings. The location they used is The Oberoi Udaivilas hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It's a 5-star hotel, and the kind of venue richer people would use for a wedding. And even richer people have rented out actual royal palaces for weddings before.
Nose ring is a jewellery.. not a compulsion. With indian attire you can actually wear jewellery in entire body.. We also wear rings in our feet finger.. jewellery for arms , waist...

Some wedding happened in palaces too in Rajasthan 😅 it's normal for rich people 😅 guy's I think should watch a video on Indian festival and place for understanding Indian movie better
Hey so just to give you a clear picture about the wedding that was depicted in this particular movie was a 'destination wedding'. It's like you book a place for all the rituals & both the grooms side & bride's side staying there for 3-4 days. These rituals include cocktail party/dinner. Haldi (where they were putting something yellow on her face, that was turmeric) , then mehendi (Henna function), Sangeet (where they were dancing) & then the final wedding day. Different states have different traditions & their rituals. But in movie those ritual was the majorly followed here.
Indian weddings can be very extra for some people in india too. Weddings in india last a week including several rituals. Gold jewellery is exchanged between the bride and groom's family. Sangeet ( traditional music party kinda stuff) haldi , mehndi (henna) , barat and everything makes up at least a week . So yeah. And it's costly. Indian weddings are costly.
Traditional Hindu weddings always have multiple rituals, one of which is the rubbing turmeric paste for removing impurities (of soul and body). Lara was present at the dance off because she was a cousin of Taran (the groom). The song and dance ritual is kinda recent addition due to Bollywood but we've always celebrated weddings and most are bound to be extravagant. I am quite sad that Kabir's emotional scenes didn't make the cut, but hoping you address stuff in the review.

Also, they were thinking if the palace was actually Aditi's or rent.. It was Jaisalmer, i guess where this was shot. You can rent the palace for a full week for the wedding rituals and do a destination wedding.

"All the uncles" 😭🤣 Basically she wanted to dance on an iconic song called "bole chudiyan" from a classic film nd karan johar is the director of that film! 😂
Main character- studies journalism in NW university, is shown clicking photos all throughout the film, says a hundred times I want to travel the world and document it. And then- Is that a taxi driver? God why is watching brain-dead people on internet so fun??
That palace like Mansion is Hotel in Udaypur, Rajasthan the arid state of India, they booked it for Wedding, Dance competition is part of the custom of Indian marriage, groom vs Bride side, Turmeric application was also part of the wedding
Bunny was an absolutely despicable character. Their marriage would have never worked out since the guy never learned the value of compromise and commitment, he just made one compromise in the entire movie that too out of sheer desperation
Indian weddings goes on for like a week with different traditions and it is different in every part of the country India is not just a country but a world in itself.

If you guys want to know more about indian weddings, i suggest you watch the series 'made in heaven'. Well it mainly revolves around the more rich and privileged of india, but im sure it'll give you an idea about how weddings in india actually are.
Guys, first of all, that's not her house, it's a hotel, she mentioned it's a destination wedding. plus, Indian weddings are a whole trip. The first where everyone was in bling, was a cocktail party, then the Haldi ceremony where they were applying the yellow paste, turmeric. Then was Sangeet (musical event/ dance off) with Ranbir in the Silver kurta, then finally the wedding took place.

Guys, take it easy with the thrusting, it's not just this movie, it's seen in a lot of hindi movies, it's a popular dance move not to be taken sexually. I mean Hollywood movies go above and beyond for sex scenes with no boundaries and you find a dance move intolerable?

Exactly! Just because of this they ruined this reaction for me
Please watch jab we met , it's a classic and the movie was way ahead of it's time .
I liked the reaction for the first part, in the later half u guys did just the opposite of what this movie's about i.e. 'being in the present'. 2nd half had many valuable life lessons & beautiful scenes which are meant to be enjoyed slowly, sometimes letting silence speak itself and not discussing what future holds or whats unnecessary is better otherwise that ruins the moment. U could discuss it in the review video & enjoy the scene from the movie more without ruining the dialogue or the sound of silence in the movie. Well that's my opinion & this is not my reaction channel so u could say it's just a rant from a random guy & ignore it. Indian weddings are normally extravagant cuz here culturally u'd marry someone for a lifetime so it's a huge day in someone's life. Sometimes it takes upto 7-10 days too tho 3-5 is more common. The traditions vary from one state to another even in the same state there are some minor differences but all are very long

Indian marriages are like 5 day festivals.
Guys INDIAN Weddings, you need to learn about the movies that most Indian movies and festivals are emotionally attached! Foreigns are dry in terms of emotion, sorry I said it. Thats why you see background BGM sounds and music and only if you could understand the language, you would understand the emotion correctly.

My favourite thing to watch these days is a foreigner's reaction to Indian dance moves that includes any sort of thrusting. Meanwhile us indians never thought about them in that way. 😂😂😂😂 On a side note though: hip movements are very common in Indian folk dances for both men and women. And "bollywood dancing" is a fusion of different dance styles. 😊 And I don't like this movie 😵😵😵
