Konrad was slain by an Imperial assassin, the last moments before his death were even recorded. He had, in fact, foreseen his death years prior because he had the power of precognition, the ability to see into the future. A terrible person, but an honestly tragic individual if you look into it. Ezekyle Abaddon is the Warmaster of Chaos, master of the Black Legion, and the successor of Horus the Arch-Traitor. He used to be Horus' second-in-command, but rose to the position of Warmaster after Horus' death and Chaos' pyrrhic defeat at the Horus Heresy. He does not serve the four Chaos Gods, he does do things for them and uses their gifts, but they are more tools in his eyes and does not aim wish for daemonhood as plenty of other Chaos champions hope for. Abaddon wants to slay the Emperor, and let the galaxy burn. There are memes in the 40K community that he his a failure and is armless, old memes in my eyes. Baldermort explains in more and better detail in his Black Legion video. Good stuff again, and stay safe.

If anything, they never joined chaos so much as they rebelled against the Emperor. They're nominally not aligned to any of the Chaos Gods though some of the more inclined individuals might gravitate to one of the powers, usually first as a means to an end... and later becoming a bit of an addiction should they keep using it too much. But by and large, the Night Lords don't worship the chaos gods.

Abbadon is the war master of chaos and leads the black crusades he was a space marine in Horus’s legion and after horus’s was killed he took control of his legion and he serves all the chaos gods

Baldermort does some really great lore videos. Check out his one on the harlequins, it is the best breakdown of them I have seen online. They are a very unique and interesting faction, and the second half of his video in particular is exceptional. You will also get to learn more about the origin of Slaanesh . . .

Abandon is the war master of chaos. He is the only one that is able to unite chaos under his banner and he had 13 black Crusade against the imerium. In his last crusade he destroyed Cadia

the night lords just are mental. lol. chaos as a rule doesnt bother with the night lords they are too mad.

I suggest checking out the video on Konrad Curze by Archwarhammer. It's a really long video but a good one. CK is a fascinating primarch, if also one of the most terrifying.

I would recommend avoiding anything by Arch. The guy has a ridiculous fake British accent and is a compete bellend as well. He doesn't deserve views, especially when there are so many other great content creators out there.

I think that Arch has a unique sense of humor yes, and I also enjoy his accent. Sure he may not be for everyone, but shouldn't we be able to listen to anyone and make up our own minds on the matter? How about you give a better reason not to listen other then the fact that you just dont like the guy personally? For my part I think that his humor is his strength, as someone lile leutin can tend to bore me after a while if it's a longer video, and dont get me started on Onemindsundicate. The biggest reason peoppe dont care for arch is that hes got right wing political views and does political videos on his channel as well as warhammer, and some people are too much of a snowflake to be able to take it. But I reccomend him.

You can hear people talking regressive bullshit in plenty of other places - why watch him over plenty of casters who are not obnoxious douchebags? Adding a bit of humour is a fair reason to like his videos I suppose, but there are other content makers with a sense of humour who don't do it while whining about SJWs, diversity policies or the fact that an Ultramrine was depicted with dark skin . . . As for calling people 'snowflakes', I would invite you to think about who got so triggered by GW making an innocuous diversity statement that they felt compelled to try and start a lobbying campaign over it.

You should really watch his vid on the Adepta Sororitas or the Dark Angels. If you want to know more about the Horus heresy and the dropsite masaka at Istvan you should watch Baldermorts videos on Rogal Dorn. They are very well narrated and informative. And with "The Corpse God" he was referring to the Emperor of mankind.

1.) The nightlords are just straight up psychos pretty sure they're chaos undivided but the lore's a little sketchy. 2.) Also good point with the fifth god, malal/malice not many people seem to know about him. 3.) Abbadon was Horus' lackey, he now leads the chaos marines to crusade against the Imperium. 4.) Curze was supposedly taken out by an assassin, just a very well trained but regular human sent by the inquisition I think

Though there certainly are those amongst them that dedicate themselves to one of the 4 Chaos Gods, as a whole the Night Lords do not follow any particular god, and even look down upon those that do. As others have said, they more rebelled against the Imperium than actually joined Chaos. As for their ethos, they get that from their Primarch, Konrad Curze... Who was basically a homicidally insane Batman.

the "resource expended to results achieved" ratio with the night lords and alpha legion was FAN- FRIKKIN-TASTIC!!!! just don't ask how they're getting these kinds of results. the answer may...... destabilize one's calm.

the Night Lords have, for the most part, never sworn themselves to any of the chaos gods. Konrad Khurze only joined chaos during the Heresy because it was the only other real choice besides the Big E. Konrad dispised chaos as much as he dispised his father so he fought more for indepenedance and an end to his father's empire than for the favour of any of the chaos gods. since his death, the nightlords legion fractured into numerous warbands as the only thing keeping them united, like their old homeworld of Nostromo, was Konrad. these independant warbands fight for their own reasons and their own values. some of them fell into chaos worship but for the most part they remain chaos in name only and fight more as seccessionists and renegades than true chaos marines. on an interesting side note, most of the Chaos Marine Raptor units (jumppack heavy assault units) originated from the Night Lords Legion and the Raptor Cult before they fractured and units went off to either fight their own wars or find better employment with other subfactions and warleaders.

Night lords just renegades , they belong to chaos undivided but in general they don't into chaos stuff, lick teenagers in their age who actually wants to receive love and appreciation of their parents, not lick else chaos believers ! I mean true chaos believers who belongs to chaos gods , there is many renegades who fights with empire they fight only for their beliefs, many are dissatisfied with high taxes, violations of governors in relation to people and so on - they rose up to fight for a just cause, for justice and freedom, in the Imperium they are all considered renegades, that is, to the chaosians !

the deed that was done was Konrad performing exterminatus Nostramo the world he grew upon

Me, who already watched Baldemort's video; 😈... oh, here's a juicy one... he doesn't know what's coming, buuut I do-ooo! edit: 16-minute mark, and a brief taste of what to come. "What was that laugh"... heh! 😈 That, my friend, is only an appetizer. edit2: 18-minute mark. Such a reaction! You know what the night lord was doing, and the thought of that alone caused such a reaction! But so close to the real thing! So... close! The surge of delightful anticipation that pause gave me... 😈 Delicious.

Kondrad had the ability to see the future and when he met the Emperor for the first time, he had a vision of the Emperor killing him. That led Konrad to be constantly paranoid that the Emperor was going to kill him.

I advise you to read books from the Horus heresy cycle that are dedicated to Night lords as well as the book authored by Simon Spuriel-Night Lord ! ( Not part of the Horus heresy cycle )

The short story at the beginning is excellent and does a great job of showing what many of the Night Lords are like now. Not every Night Lord will be like the ones in the Night Lord omnibus - many have fallen far further.

@@lonedonkey101 if u look at many night lords from other novels thats not from the omnibus they are mostly coldblooded killers yes but nothing like the one in the short story here. the guy here is more of a emperor's children type than night lord. so what i said about it stands. it just doesn't fit the night lords over all. they are coldblood and pitiless killers and this emperor's children wannabe.

@@s2mp4 the Nightlords Omnibus is not the complete word on what it is to be a Nightlord. It is well established that they splintered into numerous autonomous warbands, and even in the Nightlords Omnibus some individuals have completely fallen to chaos. All this is showing is what happens when an entire warbands is lost - it is a fate that likely awaits almost all Nightlords over time. The degeneration into madness and sadism certainly does sound somewhat Slaaneshi, but again, that is fine. As a legion, the Nightlords do not favour any one God, but individuals and warbands can (remember, in game you can still select an allegiance to any of the four gods for Nightlords units). So this character is maybe leaning somewhat on the Slaaneshi side - that doesn't mean it isn't a good depiction of what the Nightlords can be like.

@@lonedonkey101 u make some very good and fair points here. the main problem is that this video is meant to be a introduction to night lords and this depiction only leave newer people who dont know anything about night lord confused as seen here by this reaction youtuber. he couldn't tell what gods night lords serve and have to keep stopping the video and ask. if the short story had done a better job of showing what over all night lords are like or showing many different types there are then this wouldn't happen. another issue is baldmort's video didn't really explain very well the night lord's relation with chaos stands. of all the 9 main legions that betrayed the emperor. the 8th is one of the few along side alpha legion to really not like chaos all that much. i think baldmort could of really made an amazing video showing off my favorite legion, but i end up being a bit disappointed.

@@s2mp4 The short story was excellent IMO, it is always going to be very hard to do something like that in a way where someone with little existing lore knowledge will get 100% of it. As for the Nightlords relationship with Chaos, I think many fans of the chaos legions draw too much of their inspiration from the legion as it is depicted in or around the Horus Heresy. There has been 10000 years pass since then, and the majority of Chaos marines have ended up something like what was portrayed in the story. Following Chaos is not a happy ending . . .
