First of all I love your site and your reactions. We have very similar tastes in performers. Unfortunately I don't sing lol but you provide incite that's very valuable and I could kind of share with my young performers. I asked my vocal coaches to check out your site. AND btw your mom is amazing. You should have her on more lol. I'm a little older than her and I'm glad she liked Angelina. She's a once in a lifetime talent and I, too, hope she stays on track. TBH - her voice and technique and style is really helping us get through this tough time. When you listen to her, you forget about everything else that's happening. @@musicwithmaunalee I work with many young theater kids and there are some nice talent in my group but omg Angelina is amazing. My first impression was definitely Billie Holiday type. Ugh I could keep going about it. I've been spending the majority of my isolation listening to her music over and over. It's crazy. I love the style of music that Angelina sings. If anyone can revive this music, she is the one that will do it. For me it's magic how every piece that she sings becomes uniquely her own. I, for one, will be watching her to see how this marvelous talent evolves as she matures. I just found your reviews, I think you are adorable, I love the fact your kids are around. I am a retired pediatrician, my wife and I back in our twenties loved listening to the big bands of the 40s and 50s and the smokey sounding torch singers of the day. Hearing Angelina Jordan was like having a flash back. I have probably listened to everything she has on you tube at least 10-15 times. Like Mozart, I feel she is a musical prodigy that comes along every couple of centuries. From what I have read she is in good hands and will not be exploited by the music industry. What impresses me as much as her vocals, is her altruism and compassion for the less fortunate. She truly is a gift to the world.

I love lots of singers Dimash, he is a voice and visual experience, but Angelina is my favorite, I can listen to her all day long. Like you said English is not her first language, I saw a video where she was reading the lyrics of a song when she was 5 years old, I don't remember being able to read at 5 much less reading a second language, just wow, so smart. she also knows whatever the language is her grandmother speaks (Perian?). Her grandfather was Japanise and she knows some of that also, saw a video of her singing in Japanise. The other thing is that she has a special ear for the nuances of sound and how to keep the nuances of a singer like Billy Holiday and sing her songs in such a way that she makes the song her own but keeps the original singer alive in her, and I love her song choices. I also love her original songs. She also has 5 original songs, 'What is Life" classic jazz, "Shield" very Bond sounding, "Oslo" about her hometown, " A Song for A" a 200-year-old poem, "Above the Water" a techno club sound. Not that she will be doing dance music but a Norwegian band wanted her to do the vocal. Love your mom she is cute like you.

Angelina is great but no one will ever surpass Ella Fitzgerald in the jazz stakes. Lady Ella is incomparable. She could sing anything.

Thus, to say no one will ever SURPASS Lady Ella Fitzgerald is to say that she may be equalled at some point in the future but never "bettered".

She even recorded this song for her first CD along with a bunch of classic jazz/jazzy and blues songs, and even one more original song she called "Oslo", like her hometown in Norway. The album "It`s Magic" is still available for downloading. The album was released in summer 2018, the year she turned 12, at january 10th.

Thanks a lot, you guys. I will fight through this. I have to give credit to the medical staff here in Indonesia, they are doing what they can for me. My medical history makes this a little complicated for them (just been through a long cancer treatment), but I am optimistic. That is my nature. The world has become a pretty small place, I can sit here in Jakarta chatting with you guys, even under intensive care. In these times we are all one, rooting for each other. I am so glad I have good friends around me, and always Angelina's magical voice to listen too. Stay safe out there, and take care of each other. Love from Indonesia/Norway ❤

I love Angelina and I've been watching (and re-watching ) her sing since she was 7 years old. I recommend that you show your Mom a number of her performances fro the earliest to the present. She has a vast body of work that covers many different styles of music. Try watching "Summertime", "I have nothing" , ""Bohemian Rhapsody", "i'm a Fool to Want You", "Smile and the World Smiles With You ', and ...all of them ! Just say'n.

Hey Manualee, go through the next top 2-3 "goosebumps" videos with your mom sung by Angelina. Get those reactions. Also, have you gone to watch other "first time" reactions from other professional reviewers? It is nearly 100% the same reaction you have... goosebumps and "oh my god" how in the hell is this little girl doing this. It is blowing away professionals and amateur reviewers in a way I have never seen in my 56 years. I started at 8 on piano, to trumpet, to baritone, jazz piano in 7th through undergrad in University plus writing music. OMG, this kid is an Angel from God... and I am not religious! Keep up the great reviews and how many total songs have you listened to by now? I am on a 3 week tear of watching/listing and still amazed.
