They need to seriously restructure the book before they can even think of doing it. Also, Pasek and Paul writing some additional songs and rewriting some lyrics from existing ones to better fit the plot wouldn't hurt. Oh, and Keala Settle should reprise her movie role. It's only fair.

That was my thought, my brain was like, "Why do Chuck E Cheese when FNAF is right there is actual story you can extract". I mean one channel alone made a series of songs that kind of tell a over arching story, so creativity wise I think there's something there. If we can accept William Afton singing in it.

The Adele biopic musical needs to happen with Abby Mueller in the lead role. She already gave us a showstopping Adele impression in SIX, so we know she pulls off both the looks and the vocal track. Make. It. Happen! On another note, Ryan's "that's not how the Tony for Best Musical works" segment reminds me of a girl on IG who couldn't have been older than 14, absolutely going off in the comments of a BroadwayWorld post because Funny Girl (which wasn't even eligible as a revival in 2023 given the opening date, let alone new musical) was "snubbed" from winning Best Musical, and there needed to be "justice for Lea Michele"... Funny in hindsight, but in the moment it just made me mad, especially since she was answering to every level-head explanation with "didn't ask, sweetie" and stuff like that.

why does this just feel right. I'm not a jukebox musical person, but I would see that. Abby would KILL IT Also, the best musical stuff made me just laugh my head off. Lea was fantastic in Funny Girl, singing fully from the gut. But the revival was not the best. Also, I'm not telling this to you, @emalaw1329, but to people who are unaware of how the Tonys work, there is a category for best revival of a musical.

Ryan McCartan should be in Waitress as Dr. Pomatter with Annaka Fourneret as Jenna Hunterson. A random property to be turned into a Broadway musical will be my new novel, Little Wonka starring Annaka Fourneret as Hillary, Timothèe Chalamet as Willy Wonka, James Corden as Yub Yub, Ryan McCartan as Patrick, and Darren Criss as Rocky.

Ok I can’t get Ryan in Moulin Rouge out of my head now! 10/10 casting!!! Also how abt Spike Lee’s “Skool Daze” as a musical- that would actually rock!

If Hadestown closes I'll die. like literally. I've never watched it live and it's my favorite musical. Really can't think of a better musical.

There is a Hunger Games on Stage coming to London’s west end in “autumn 2024”. Not sure it’s a musical but I’m eagerly awaiting ticket news

So I thought as well maybe to react as well to these so here goes nothing. 1) What is a random property that will be turned into a musical? - Maybe something social media and something like TikTok? But partly because there is something that you can do with the dancing of it all as well as visuals given that many shows are now moving forward in using video design and not having a physical set. 2) What is a major broadway musical that closes this year? - Its hard to say because of the big hitters will stay because of how commercial Broadway can be (e.g. Lion King, Disney shows, Chicago, Wicked). So I think what we'll have more is shows that will come to Broadway to have a commercial run but may only do a limited run given how expensive it is and plus there will be more of an incentive for that show then to be seen to make it commercially viable (I'm thinking of shows like Operation Mincemeat in the West End which started as a limited run and just keeps extending because of that being *supposedly* limited). But if a show had to close it would be one of the more artistic shows that does not have that immediate pull such as Hadestown. But I am very doubtful this will actually happen. 3) What salacious Broadway celebrity will hit on me on a random Monday night at Faces and Names? - Maybe someone like Eva Noblezada? I can only guess I don't know! 4) What Broadway Replacement will Ryan book this year? - Now this is tricky because it honestly could be anything. But I think with some shows it has to be one where its more likely that it will happen and for me one show that I think is possible is King George III in Hamilton. The reason being initially I thought Chicago but then I remembered that Chicago relies on stars with more of a draw and I wonder if Ryan has that mass popularity that someone such as Jinx Monsoon may have. So I have to think about where they might want someone with a little bit of popularity but won't affect the show and one of the key roles that stands out is George III in Hamilton because it is a small cameo role which could give a little bit of popularity to the show but it won't cheapen the show. 5) What musical will win "Best Musical" this year? - For reference I am saying this now with the tony nominations being released. I think the the issue is this year there have been so many but so many that have a bit of an issue and are okay. Initially if you asked I would have said the Notebook but then it threw me when The Notebook got barely any nominations. So for me I think about one that hits the award criteria and for me the big one that stands out is Hells Kitchen and Illinoise. 6) Most surprising casting choice for high-profile Broadway show? - For me if its going to be high-profile that means two things. Firstly that it's going to be something no one expected but plus it needs to be a show that makes everyone think "Oh my god I need to see it" and it is the one show that you NEED to see. Now immediately the first show everyone would think of would be Chicago because of the fact it gets a lot of people that are recognisable. But the thing is it has evolved where it is bothered about stunt casting and sometimes the casting is more based on someone from Ru-Paul's Drag Race and Real Housewives (which of course I will say are very good TV shows but not ones that I think would make every single person think "I need to see this") so it needs to feel a little bit like a Lea Michelle moment for Funny Girl. So my thinking is this. I think they are going to revive "Fiddler on the Roof" (as they often do) and they will cast a Jewish actor as Tevye. But that person will be someone so left-field like Jake Gyllenhaal or Joaquin Phoenix as Tevye. 7) Which Broadway Actor/Actress will make a remarkable comeback in 2024? - So for me again I think about this and I think it has to be something where they used to be big and then for some reason or another they have not returned since and when they do return it will be a massive deal. So for me I think it needs to be a big deal. So for me I think for male its going to be Nathan Lane in a production of "La Cage Aux Folles" and for female I think it will be Cassie Levy who will transfer to Broadway with Next to Normal. 8) What will be the next big Jukebox musical - So for it to be a big Jukebox musical its got to be one that has so much relevance but one thats got to really have a lot of good significance to people and I think we could get something like a Beyonce or Adele musical.

2:39 There actually is an Area 51 musical 😂. It's called "Dreamland". Technically it's a riff off of Midsummer and is only a studio cast recording, but it exists.

Sam mentioning the hunger game musical and saying it might not happen for a few years. And Im like do they really need a musical about the hunger games when we have like 4 movies and a prequel. But then i remembered, there making a musical which is a prequel to stranger things where Joyce,Hopper and everyone are teenagers and its starting in west end. so its possible🤣🤣

Adele’s music would be fantastic. She recently came out with her “secret” (her word) that she hates Broadway. She said she never wanted to admit it to the public so she wouldn’t get hate from them. But she seriously “hates” Broadway. So unfortunately, no Adele for us. At least for now. She did sing Don’t Rain On My Parade for James’ last Carpool Karaoke though to make him happy since he loves it. It was pretty good, clearly. ❤

I don't think Hadestown will shut down just yet. It's only opening in London on feburary 10th. they can't do this to me. :'D

All the recent ones that come to mind were Tina, Cher, Once Upon a One More Time, Jagged Little Pill, Jersey Boys, Beautiful, & Juliet, Moulin Rouge. While these used their songs and some in original stories they were not original songs. Waitess is the only that comes to mind recently, so the idea of Taylor Swift writing a musical is great.

😊 I’d have to disagree with James Corden. The main reason why he stopped the show was so his family could move back to England, and he was tired. Also, he won a Tony in 2012. That will probably scratch any itch for at least a bit. 😊
