Hope you see this , thank you for your list , I wrote them all down , I’m so hard to please and so sick of spending money on highly recommended highly reviewed books that are just meh okay . But you listing Once and Always by McNaught I knew your list would be worth copying down , Once and Always is my very favorite and I so rarely see it mentioned , I adore all historical romance McNaught books no one can touch her , especially Almost Heaven too , and I loved the Ian Mackenzie one too , I’ve just bought The Duke by Foley haven’t read it yet or the author. I’m sure you read it but The Highwayman by Byrne is my absolute favorite in the last twenty years . Also The Duke of Shadows by Duran and What I Did For A Duke by Long were good ,better than most . On the off chance you might be interested Song Of Songs by Beverley Hughesdon written in 1988 is in the top five best books I’ve ever read in my life , it’s hard to find , don’t read it on kindle I don’t believe it copied correctly it’s such a long book , it’s not a historical romance exactly , about a English heiress who serves as a nurse in World War One , it’s more her life saga ,I adored the heroine and the romance in the second half of the book is a major clash of classes , the romance is harsh realistic no flowers and unicorns, the hero is a low class war hero with a harsh accent the type with a breakfast egg stain on his shirt and he’s constantly dirty grimy from working on trains , they meet when she’s his nurse and there’s death and agony everywhere , at first you’re like ewwww nooooo but you fall so deeply in love with him I’ll never forget him . I’m not making it sound exciting but it’s a fantastic book beginning to end beautifully written , you’ll cry your eyes out but a happy satisfying ending .

I read 10 Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake because of one of your suggestion videos and I LOVED it. Also it's not smutty, so not really a traditional historical romance, but Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson is so damn cute, it made me so happy.

Loved this and definitely need part 2 of this video. Can’t wait to hear what you think of Dreaming of You!

Most books by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss are absolutely awesome. *The Wolf and the Dove,....*A Rose in Winter,...The Flame and the Flower,...Petals on the River, and others. She is a very good writer.

You should definitely read the books Dangerous and Rendezvous by Amanda Quick. Two of my favorites by her and part of why I got into the romance genre.

I absolutely LOVE Julia Garwood's historical romance books. I'm re-reading Saving Grace for the umpteenth time (my favorite) when I watched your video today. How funny! I love her historical books because she puts great romance and humor together.

One of my favourite Amanda Quick books and I just recently reread it is Deception. I gave it five stars. It’s very pirate, hidden treasure themed and I love, love, love both her and heroine. The hero is a buttoned up on the outside but seething passion underneath type.

Annie’s Song is SOOOOOO GOOD! Probably one of the sweetest love stories I have ever read.

I definitely recommend you reading Johanna Lindsey. She did a lot of western (Brave The Wild Wind) and Scottish clan books with a few plus size heroines. You will love them.

Would love a part 2 please! Though it won’t bode well for my ever growing historical romance tbr list lol

I already recommended The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt over on your instagram BUT I also highly recommend Bite Me Your Grace by Brooklyn Ann. Not only is it a historical, it’s a historical romance with VAMPIRES. It was such a fun read

I am not too far into the video and had to comment. I am a huge Garwood fan and highly recommend Saving Grace. It is one of my favorite HR’s.🥰

"Ravished", "What happens in London", "Again the magic" are some of my favorites, and almost everything by Lorraine Heath, Lysa Kleypas and Mary Balogh. My dearest enemy by Connie Brockway and Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase.

I really love Julia Quinn's The Smithe-Smith quartet series. Just like heaven is my favourite one, and I don't think I've ever laughed that much with a book as with the infamous musicale. I'd really love if that musicale could make a cameo in Bridgerton. So much fun! The day of the Duchess, by Sarah McLean is another favourite (the whole series is), and the last one, Bombshell is all I was waiting for.

I’m surprised there was nothing by Julie Anne Long. She writes the best witty dialogue.

Morning glory by Laveryl Spencer is fabulous, one of the best books Ive ever read. Another one of her books that is absolutely wonderful is “twice loved’. Both are so good and you will read them more than once.

I think the one that had the most impactful book to me was Annie's Song. Its a historical romance that made me cry and appreciate the characters (except scum brother-he can go die) and kinda gripped me in terms of going through trauma, love, and handling disabilities (or the lack thereof) in a historical setting. That one scene where the main lead sees Annie in the attic made me seriously cry. A highly recommended one, but it's rather dark so keep it in mind!

The Belvelstoke series is brilliant. The first in the series made me cry

Tessa Dare, Sabrina Jeffries, Lisa Kleypas, Karen Hawkins. My favorite from WAY back when is Sweet Lies by Miranda North.

The Highland Guard series by Monica McCarty is sooo good!!! All of the books :) especially if you like a little bit history too :D

I just finished When He Was Wicked the other day and loved it! I’m just getting heavy into historical romance. Aside from outlander and Bridgerton it’s a fairly new genre to me so I’m in collecting mode at the moment and getting all the recommendations!

You should definitely read Ransom by Julie Garwood. It's so good. The beginning is a little slow, but it picks up 😊

Two VERY old ones...The Fifth Kiss by Elizabeth Mansfield. I also loved The Honorable Offer by Catherine Colter. She later edited it, and renamed it The Offer. I read historical romances by the 100's back in the 80's and 90's. I burned out, and can only rarely re read a favorite, but those two were favorites.

I love Beverly Jenkins!!! My favorite book from her is “Vivid”.

Did you know Shelly Thacker's "Escape with a Scoundrel" is the same exact book as "Hearts Run Wild". I was just renamed. I bought the original like you have on ebay bc i couldn't find it on amazon but if you want to read it on the ebook its free on Kindle Unlimited.

Recently reread Ravishing the Heiress - one of my favorites!

The wallflower series is the best and devil in winter is the best book ever SEBASTIAN AND EVIE ARE PERFECT also THE VISCOUT WHO LOVED ME anthony and kate are my favorite couple also Francesca and michael are really really good couple

all of Jo Beverly's books- particularly "Forbidden Magic". Other favorites: Carla Kelly's "Mrs. Drew Plays her Hand", Anne Gracie's "Bride by Mistake" and Joan Wolf's "Royal Bride". I agree that "Lord of Scoundrels" and "Flowers From the Storm" are classics, and I have read and re-read all the Amanda Quick titles mentioned. I really started with Georgette Heyer's works, then went on to traditional Regencies back in the day, so I have read many of the older authors. I like historical accuracy but can forgive a few errors in an otherwise excellent work.( I'm thinking of Grace Burrows putting English characters in a porch swing!) .

Can you recommend any romance novels that are about two working class people or two peasants? I've been devouring historical romances for the last year or so, but all the ones I've read involve at least one wealthy and/or titled person. Also-- Chasing Cassandra! That would be one of my favorites!

Tessa Dare, Amanda Quick, Julia Quinn, Judith McNaught, Catherine Coulter, Johann Lindsey, Julie Garwood, Iris Johansen just to mention a few of fave authors in this genre. Kingdom of Dreams BY Judith McNaught is my fave.

Outlander is excellent writing and much adventure

The Four Hundred serues by Jianna Shupe is great. Loved the 1st book, the best.

Any Julie Garwood book & Jude Deveraux book are great. All 5 stars, to me. ❤😊

Johanna Lindsey's DEFY NOT THE HEART and SO SPEAKS THE HEART. Also Hannah Howell has a series called THE Murrays which I have all the series of these. Also I have a lot of Julie Garwoods books you have mentioned. Also you may want to check out Jude Deveraux's THE VELVET PROMISE which I love very much as books go.

When I was on Amazon looking up The Bride Bet, it said it's not coming till Jan. 15th 2024!! I really hope that's not true.

I’m trying to find a book I read but cannot find. It’s about a ? Who stops for shelter at a widows house who lives on or next to his mansion/house property. The widow has two daughters in which the youngest captures your heart She loves to eat and will show up at the hero’s house in time for meals.

You actually have read Stephanie Laurens. She wrote Devil's Bride which I know you love.

Julia Quinn's Bevelstoke series is so good. Parts will make you cry, parts will definitely make you laugh. If you love When He Was Wicked, you will love In The Thrill Of The Night by Candice Hern
