Material possessions are more important for some people. What's in her closet? Who gives a fuck? If that's her number one priority, let's see where she is when she resells that stuff for non-charitable reasons. I love fashion, but I have zero interest for the way it's represented by people who use it for the wrong reasons. At least Haute LeMode knows Haute Couture.

@@AnnetteMay1221 Why are you even watching the video if you’re just going to dump on people for spending their money? I don’t like Trisha but it’s still not my money to spend, I’m not going to complain about what they buy. I watch these videos because I also love fashion and videos like these closet tours as well as the reactions to them educate me and remind me why I love it. I love the history behind pieces and the creativity in a lot of them. It is also interesting because what people buy and the way they dress says a lot about them.

To be fair, her closet is actually rather interesting in terms of like individual pieces. The fact that she bedazzles everything is true to who she is. Like her closet is a reflection of who she is and honestly that's the whole point of a closet. It's tacky, shiny and disgustingly expensive but most of all she has a story for all her purchases which is really cute. Love that for her

What better thing to do with the “honor” of owning a Birkin than….to do whatever the heck you want with it and completely depreciate the collector value, rather than keep it behind a glass case like it’s a fine art sculpture and not…a status purse. I used to be a buyer for a luxury sunglass company. You're correct, there are 3 major sunglass parent companies that make the luxury branded sunglasses. Marchon, Luxottica and another smaller one. The funniest thing about them, is the lenses are horrible. In the US, they only have to be like 70% protective against uva/uvb rays to CLAIM 100%. So you're literally paying triple the price for inferior lenses that cost the companies maybe $7 to $12 a pair to make. Then, you get a scratch and there's no warranty. You're literally paying for the name.

As a side note: Most watch collectors don’t actually wear mechanical watches simply to tell the time, but because of the art and engineering that goes into making a tiny and accurate machine that will tell the time forever, even without a battery. Actual timekeeping is often secondary to the appreciation of the savoir faire of craftsmanship. There’s also all of the creativity, inventiveness and variety that goes into watchmaking, as well as watches being a medium where people can express their person style. Many of us also wear watches as a way to celebrate the centuries of history and heritage behind watchmaking - people don’t often wear hats today either, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t many people along with hundreds of milliners, hatters and haberdashers who make headwear in order to keep alive a historic medium of dress and accessorization. Just because something is obsolete or other, more convenient and modern replacements have been invented doesn’t mean that the old thing is irrelevant or should be discarded. Fashion isn’t simply about the present and/or future, it also examines, interfaces with, references, recreates, reimagines, reinterprets and decontextualizes the past. Something else that sets watches apart from other accessories is that there has long been the existence of a watch culture that is passionate and dedicated to the furthering of the hobby. More people carry handbags than wear watches, but you don’t see the same level or scale of conventions, societies, non-profit organizations, design awards, competitions, magazines, blogs, books, media, innovations, etcetera that focus on handbags as is the massive breadth of watch culture. Watches are still a huge deal. Whilst the average person probably can only list a few watch companies, there are literally hundreds of watchmakers, from ultra-luxury haute horology at the top end to tiny independent manufactures to mass market fashion watches - all with myriad and diverse designs and aesthetics of their own.

I don't think you would tbh, somethings will not be useful or appreciated on certain time/places. Even if you tryed to wear it everyday, it will not ever fit the purpose and situation. I think that is very specific taste for a very specific occasion. Even if you are using it just for the history of fashion as he describes. You would not wear the McDonald's bag for a very important wedding or ceremony. But maybe the Chanel birdcage would be a nice piece for a few items and to complete the look you may be trying to wear. They cost a lot of money, maybe some people tend to spend their money on other things, she's not a billionaire but maybe for Trisha this have a role in her self esteem than any other thing. Btw the birdcage bag is already expensive, in a few years she can sell that for maybe double what she paid for.

It’s strange how many people haven’t watched “Father Of The Bride”. In the movie, the bride wore white bridal sneakers instead of high heels under her wedding dress. (I believe daughter would play basketball with her dad in the driveway so it was kind of symbolic of growing up but still being daddy’s little girl.) It’s fairly common for brides to wear comfortable shoes underneath their dress to the point that casual shoe companies such as Keds carry bridal shoe lines. Most of my friends wore ballet slippers during their weddings though.

Trisha is aware the companies are doing this, aware she’s the “dumb customer”, BUT she’s entirely in on the joke and she knows people will talk when she wears something outrageous, it’s yet another way she trolls the internet and gets people talking….. be it making fun of her for thinking the stuff is cool (she doesn’t) or making fun of her stupidly asking if dogs have brains or who invented gravity (again, she doesn’t actually think that stuff) these are just some of the many ways she gets people taking. That's capitalism. I'm not saying that in a good or bad way I'm just saying it is what it is. And fashion is extremely commoditized now. It's a status symbol more than art. But again it is what it is. I would argue on behalf of fat people that being poor = greater chance of being fat, and being rich = greater chance of being skinny. But not the other way around. People aren't fat because they are making bad decisions and are dumb (well, some definitely are lol but not as a whole). Anyways, if you are lower income you don't have access to healthy food because of issues like "food deserts" which is too much to type out here. To be clear I'm agreeing with you (I think) but just adding to the comment. Also lots of rich fat people exist though. And lots of people are fat for reasons outside their control. And lots of people are fat because they made bad choices but so what, their bad choices are just easier for people to see and judge and other people's bad choices might be invisible. I still think there is a fat stigma in fashion but I also think it's changing. I think the market will eventually adjust to it. It's trendy to have diverse body type models now, but is it a moment or a movement? Will any actual change happen? Probably but only gradually. I just smoked a joint so sorry I'm long winded hahaha

This was the first video I’ve ever seen of yours after seeing it in my suggested feed and I absolutely loved it! I just love your thoughtful, well spoken and very educated commentary. You 👏🏻 give 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 facts 👏🏻 babyyyy 👏🏻! I completely love hearing about when a piece was released, what collection/year it was, the designers history, why a specific detail is the way it is, if there is a deeper meaning behind a piece and why or where it came from etc. I just love it!

One note on the LV travel aesthetic. I believe that there are certain bag styles or monogramming that you can only get from vacation destinations. Speaking from personal observation, the Capri LV store had a custom Capri monogramming.

I love how they are true to their quirky, unique style. It's truly about the love for the interesting items, not for they possible investment value for the future nor what others think. It is true that they don't know the artist behind the design nor brand, but since their real interest is in pop culture, the love for the items itself comes from there
