Anyone who gets pissy about your boundaries is a garbage person from the toilet. There are plenty of people out there who will be understanding and respectful. Also, I'd wager that the woman in that clip was either hired to act like the world's pettiest person, or the context was edited out of the clip to make her look angry about not getting eye contact when she was talking about something else, like how nervous she felt. A lot of reality shows make up conflict and aren't realistic at all.

The only reality/prank show that I've ever genuinely enjoyed was "Hell Date," where they set a person up with an actor whose job is to embody everything their date hates to a cartoonish degree. They only lose one evening of their time, and the minute things start to fall apart, the ruse is revealed and the actor usually apologizes while everyone has a laugh about it.

I'm the same with awkwardness. Shows like 90 day fiance and shit make me feel like my organs are failing.

That bachelorette clip legitimately made me cry. There was also laughter, but omg it was the most awkward thing I have ever seen. I would have run, immediately, and far.

"I get lying about cancer, sometimes you just don't want to go into work". Had a friend actually try this. He was fired so fast because the boss's wife was actually going throught it. How did we all find out he was lying? He shl owed up for his next shift ancouple days later like nothing happened

The entire time I was watching this I had an intsrumental snippet of "Big Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" playing on repeat on another tab. I literally thought you put it in this video for background music and was pleasently surprised how it vibed with the content. Toward the 10 minute mark I was losing my mind cause it was the same "Woohoo" segment over and over and occasionally it talked over your commentary. It wasn't until the video was over and the song was still going that I realized it wasn't part of this video. This was great, Tugg!

Also by "housewife" they mean someone whose husband has a 8+ figure salary, a house worth more than any town with a population of less than 100,000, and an entire team who does everything for them so all they do is lounge around, throw parties, get plastic surgery, and go on vacations 99.999% of the population don't even know exist because they couldn't afford them even if they saved every single cent they ever earned instead of someone who stays home and takes care of the house (which work-wise is the equivalent of 1 1/2 full-time jobs, mad respect to actual housewives)

I was told by a film producer that reality tv is the Wild West of film PLUS shows like Roopl’s Drag Race references other reality tv all the time and I wondered why so many people care- the production laws are/were nuts and the cast and crew are honestly a big underground starter of writers/actors strikes! Dance moms contestants caused reality child labor laws to EXIST by suing and being brave enough to break contract which they’ve been threatened with for so many years (most reality nda contracts are so legally loose it easily breaks the law but many can’t afford to get it all the way to court) I’ve come to the conclusion that the appeal of reality tv is monetized trauma bonding- I became drawn to shows I could relate to having a high conflict strict upbringing (like dance moms lol) and found that usually is what pulled people in Ppl like Wendy adjacently appeal to a very specific crowd who she’s friendly towards and find her relatable + an unedited black woman voicing opinions others are too scared to talk about good or bad. She also gave shoutouts to working class and prisoners who likely watch her around that time It’s not what I expected when I decided to look into it but I have a lot more sympathy for ppl who like different reality shows now than before. My conspiracy is the rich top producers keep the shows “trashy” enough that it looks completely rotted on the outside so ppl don’t look more into these issues which focus on poverty sexuality addiction etc Real Housewives fans? Not a Fan but I enjoy compilations/clips- I grew up in a WASP neighborhood in a family pretending to be the same class lol. Corp politics ammiright? I’ve seen and heard some CRAZY SHIT growing up and hearing more tea in adulthood like 💀 so I’ve seen people in reality (ooo) who have at least once acted like those unhinged housewives
