The green thing you wanted to know about is called Floral Foam it holds and stores water to keep plants alive when you put the stems in them. Yes they are very fun to squeeze. You can get it in places like Walmart or a flower place as well as just looking it up online. They come in different shapes, sizes, and prices. The bigger and thicker it is the more water it’s gonna be able to hold. But once you break it it can’t be used again unless you use the smaller pieces. Add food coloring to the water and have it release different colors. When your putting water in it put it in a tub or basin of water and let it sink to the bottom by its own weight don’t push is down. Let it soak for approximately 2 minutes, don’t exceed 20 minutes. Wet floral foam should be used in 1-2 weeks after removed from water. If you get a big piece and want to cut it, it can be cut wet or dry but use a sharp knife since floral foam is pretty hard. When crushing it, push hard or the foam might not crush. Floral foam is made from two chemicals considered to be hazardous to humans: phenol and formaldehyde.
