In the books you can read, at the end, how Thorin had this final redemption. Buried with the Arkenstone over the chest, and with his legendary sword Orcrist, the goblin-cleaver. In his farewell... I always cry. A true KING under the mountain.

The actor was playing Saruman as completely good in this movie. Actually being honest about dealing with giant eyeball guy. Now if you factor in all of the lore. Apparently Saruman the stinky has bean, over the last few hundred years, becoming more selfish and wanting to try to weild the one ring 💍 Either way Saruman decided to team up with Saron only after their meeting and seeing how powerful Sauron is. Knowing the odds of the good guys winning were very small.

And who the heck are the Five Armies? According to the Tolkien Society website, in the book, the armies are "Goblins and the Wild Wolves, and upon the other were Elves and Men and Dwarves." The movies themselves don't clarify, but on the BTS's Appendices chapter 12, " the five armies refer to Men, Elves, Dwarves, the Orcs of Dol Guldur, and the Orcs of Mount Gundabad." My favorite scene in the whole trilogy is Galadriel ft Elrond & Saruman v Sauron. She is BAD! Love seeing Elrond in fighting mode. But the star of that scene is Saruman's human hair wig. The way that thing FLOATED in the air! Luv! ←

Depending on how you are counting, the number of armies may vary.

I would recommend if you were reading any of the books to also read the Silmarillion or listen to it as a book on tape. There is a great rendition on you tube at a greatly reduced price😉. It fills in a lot of the blanks, it was Tolkien's notes on his world which were more like a bible than notes because...well... its Tolkien. For instance, you will learn about Sauron's boss or who the Eagles really work for. I think you might like it.

@@CourtReacts-zm9yv The Silmarillion reads a lot like a history textbook but there are some real gems in there.

Hello!Saruman's intention is lot more complicated on the books. You should read the books lady. 14:32 Elves making way to Bard because they heard that he is the last Dragon slayer and they salutes him. You see the similar scene before the Helm's deep battle, when elves arrives the fortress they salutes Legolas Greenleaf. Because Legolas is a Prince and he is the best archer among them.

The Hobbit trilogy is not as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy but it's still a good trilogy🔥💯

This is the weakest or the trilogy for me (and should have been the best). First of all, the theatrical version was a disaster... deleting so important scenes from the extended footage (like Thorin´s funeral). The final battle it´s the best of the film, but I still missing some important details. It´s enjoyable but might have been quite better.
