I think Todrick needed the lyrics for the Just Dance version - he rewrote the song with lots of Just Dance references for one of the versions, and I think it would be easy to get confused with the original lyrics.

Encanto songs are more like a lyrical one than up-beat so....idk

The face and body paint they're using might be greasepaint, typically used for stage and circus productions. My understanding is that it doesn't dry out, per se, nor does it mix with the water in sweat and run, so they'll have a few hours of solid, smooth, color-consistent coverage, though it can turn sticky and goopy if they leave it on too long and the stage lights put out a lot of heat because it'll mix with the *oils* in sweat...

9:12 YES I play Just Dance in my living room alone and I still am so nervous about how silly I look! definitely getting better about it but it's pretty awesome to have a way to dance my butt off without involving someone else hahaha

Me too! I felt so insecure but when I met these dance Games (Dance central was the first for me) I felt so good just moving my body. I went 2 different events where there's a just dance game and I did it! I was just feeling the moment and having fun that I totally lost my fear. These games definitely changed the course of "simple video game" concept. It's a therapy, it's an art.

The amount of detail on the human coach is just insane

I love the behind the scenes videos. It also reassures me that I’m not losing it while trying to find these fabric colors. Also helps me process what kind of fabric to use for outfits. Also whoa that is wild! This is one of the few times we ever see them wearing the colors she has in the game too!

Si'ha nova coach is named Ines Vandamme and she is actually a Dance with the Stars coach in France.

Congratulations on the shout out! You do so much for just dance. I honestly only know that some of the songs exist because of your videos. You inspire me! And I’m one of those casual dancers. I’ve been able to lose weight by dancing for 15 minutes. My Apple Watch tells me that I use up more energy dancing versus one hour of walking my dog. JD is seriously invaluable to someone like me.

I agree with what you said about 2022/2021 with how amazing they were able to pull it off during a pandemic 2023 will definitely will go through the same issues, but I'm still hopeful for the JD team to pull it off.

This was really interesting, but what I am curious about is how they turn the filmed coaches movements into something that the game can match against. What i mean by this is, after the process demonstrated in this video, you end up with a video file of the coach. How to do they turn that into moves that the game can compare your movements against. Somehow they have to compare the Kinect's (or whatever sensor one happens to use) output to the Coach. Which implies that Just Dance has to convert the filmed coaches movements into some kind of data form where the Kinect's output can be compared against. I am very curious how this process works since they are not motion capturing the dancers movements, so how do they convert the filmed movements into "bone" positions that can be compared against the Kinects "bone" position output?

Technically the first artist to dance a just dance map for just dance was Jessie j and it was bang bang and she danced it with Tyler Oakley. This could only be played on the world dance floor in 2015 and you would compete against both Tyler and Jessie on the world dance floor. They also had beta vip mades with the song artists dancing to their song in just dance with Austin Mahone and Jason Derulo back in the days but those got cancelled for some reason when they were already made. You can still find them leaked on KZread though.

I completely agree with your choice on Humans. Beyond that, the prosthetic work on her face is just incredible. I like it a lot, because JD has achieved an artistic and narrative feat. The lyrics of the song are simple. But the clip transports me to this dark side of the human, with this magnificent hand, which contrasts, saying "the human has this power in the hands to bring good". Just respect for this clip,My only regret in this game is that they worked on the content, but not the form. The game menu tabs, three times "recommended for you" from the plays lists has no idea what to do with them. And for some downright zero. I can go on like this for a long time, for this menu.

I'm not completely sure about this, this is just a guess, but about the Pop/Stars coaches not being painted white, I was thinking maybe it has to do with copyright and how the characters technically belong to Riot Games, maybe they have specific guidelines on how to use the costumes or something like that, because previously Drum Go Dum coaches were also not painted white and I think in both instances the costumes didn't use chroma key colours, they're just the original colour of the costume while in most other dances the colours are chroma keyed. This is just my theory so IDK maybe
