I wasn’t a gymnastic watcher at all prior to 2015. USA has some really good gymnasts. Simone is Almost 10 years older than many of these new girls. It’s amazing to see Joselyn training and competing with her lifetime Idol. That pic of her when she was in the 2nd grade where she did in school her class presentation on Simone is priceless. Shilese has gone through so much and her dream was to complete with Olympians. This was the advice of her dad who passed away. He told her to move back to Washington and follow her dream that has actually happened. I see her sadness but I have also noticed her smiles. I’m so proud of her. I feel just being around Simone helps because Simone is a super great young woman who loves the Ghirlandaio she works and competes with against and she can be just as silly. I’m sure these girls have fun in her company. I was also happy to see Rebecca and Flavia finally receiving medals that they’ve worked hard to get. I love them both. Melanie from France is so pretty and talented and I was really happy to see her on the podium receiving a team medal. This was one of my favorite competitions with Brazil, France, and the USA all on the podium receiving medals together. Awesome indeed.

Thanks Darrin. I may not be as big a fan as you but that did not stop my enjoyment of your clips of the US team. They really put on a great show of nerve and grit. I am so proud of them. And yes, I would like it if you would give the boys a shout as well. Blessings always!

USA would have still won. Russia greatly benefitted from both the 4 person team and the COVID delay which allowed Listunova to be age-eligible to Tokyo.
