Yeah though keep in my the age of these videos. I believe the problem always was that the FGC was older and more mature as they had been around longer. The smash scene has since matured a lot from being a bunch of angsty teenagers (From my experience at least)

I'd feel worse about the guy who got told to shut the fuck up if years later he didnt went on to cheat in speedruns and create a lot of internet drama with a friend of his.

There are a few genuinely good Smash commentators, but too many tournament organizers and budding commentators alike think all they need is knowledge of terminology and wanting to be on camera and it'll all work; no charisma, no chemistry, no definition of "good commentary", etc.
