Yaay! Some random facts: Floor was sick during this show, can you believe it? The chanting before the song would kinda translate as "every day I love you more, I belong to Nightwish, it's a feeling I can not stop" I was there and it may be my happiest day! This part has to be my favourite, not because of the song but because of the way Floor feeds off the crowd energy, I think I never saw her look this happy before, it melts my heart! From this same show: Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, one of their heaviest!

Regarding Marko’s vocals, check out Nightwish’s song The Islander live at Tampere...it’s an acoustic ballad sung by him and really shows off his voice. Regarding Troy...multi-instrumentalist...he is a permanent member. He had just gained that status shortly before the Wacken show you’ve been watching so his stage time was limited at that time. As you watch videos from subsequent shows, you’ll see his presence become more pervasive. He plays the pipes, flute, whistles, bouzouki, and some really nice e-bow on electric guitar. And he’s emerging as a third vocalist.

When you get to the new album, I suggest doing it all in order. There's gonna be a lot of requests for tribal and endlessness, but I feel the album feels a lot better if you listen it in the order than it was meant to be listened at. Tuomas is is a brilliant guy who doesnt just think about composing songs but a whole journey on an album. Also don't forget the (instrumental) 2nd part of the album. Even though it doesn't feature the band members (aside from floor singing/humming in Ad Astra) its a masterpiece that's definitely part of the human nature experience. I do hope you're gonna do the poet and the pendulum and greatest show on earth first though

In the Wacken 2013 version Emppu, the guitarist, sneaks behind Floor and turns off her monitor during this song. She doesn't miss a beat, and you'd never know it happened ... But the next time he tries to pass behind her she turns from the crowd and looms over him like 'i know what you did, and I'm going to beat your ***' ... But all in good fun. what a great reaction again. Cannot wait for the Poet and the Pendulum, the only song you really need to know in front whats it all about. The depression of Tuomas got in after he fired the first lead singer Tarja, and he felt the whole world was against him and thought about suicide and fortunately decided to kill himself in this song and not for real. You will understand and feel this song much more after knowing this.

Hi Chase, I immensely enjoyed your reaction again! On their new released album (april 2020) Human | Nature, Tuomas uses all the vocal talent, that means Floor of course, Marko and Troy. The last two have a much more prominent vocal role (each their own song) but what I really love is the backing vocals they came up with. Such collaboration. ❤️ We could already hear this coming a bit on Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015). I want to hear your comments on those songs so I will stick around.

This is why I keep recommending Nightwish on reaction channels, there are always surprises, different musical styles, vocal techniques, rhythm changes, syncopations, etc. so they never get boring. Also the reason I admire them as much as I do is that there are no egos, they do what the music/song calls for, don't care one bit about their own self gratification at all. You are quickly becoming my favorite channel, you really get all the nuances, stuff I have been thinking to myself, but that reactors rarely mention if at all.

In all honesty, you have my favorite reactions on KZread. You bring a lot of knowledge and insight to all your reactions. I love finding new things about/in songs that I’ve not noticed that u point out/pick up. Also, I appreciate that you are honest in your reactions..you can tell the reactions you have are true. I’m glad you didn’t keep waiting for someone to name a better vocal pairing than Floor and Marko ...infinity is a mighty long time. The three part harmonies are a fixture on new album. Running jokes about Nightwish: Tuomas : Troy what instruments can you play? Troy : Yes Tuomas : What styles can you sing, Floor? Floor: Yes Keep doing what you are doing and everyone will keep watching.

Well that was instant. Editing it later. 😂 Troy has been a permanent member along with Floor since 2014. He’s worked with Nightwish since around 2003, I believe. Nightwish has done a lot of vocal harmonies during the Decades Tour and it’s a direct influence to what they’ve done in their new album. You can hear Troy more in The Carpenter (Live at Buenos Aires 2018) and My Walden (Live at Wembley or Tampere 2015). Also, he has his own song in Human:||:Nature.

Great job man, loving the videos, how you pick out some the bits you do first time I have no idea but really enjoying the breakdown of all the work bands put into their songs so we can appreciate it more. Fairly new to Nightwish as well but I think Troys (on the pipes) has been around for a while but is getting more prominent in their music, especially on the new album. He plays a lot of instruments, he's the guy playing the open guitar bit on 7 Days to the Wolves. I think The Islander would be a good song to listen to, probably not as complex as most of theirs as its a lot more laid back but Marco's the lead singer on it and he gets show of a bit vocally in it. Again, really enjoying the videos and been introduced to some great new bands from them as well so thanks!!

I'm not talking about her looks or the outfit (allthough again, to be honest, also a part of it, she's god damn gorgeous) but like... the way she just exists on stage.
