I live for the “it’s matriculation day” coordination

present jack looks like a proud father watching his son move to uni for the first time

I love it when he replied to him self "You're gonna love it, you'll love it so much" And "you did make many friends" You can really see how he genuinely loves and enjoyed his whole uni experience. And it's also reassuring for those who will be starting uni soon.(aka me 🙂)

I love how Jack was just smiling the whole way through, he clearly loves Durham and has the best memories from there and I can only hope that I have the same love since I'm starting in September and I feel so lucky and excited to go there because I already love the city so much. This also makes me want to make sure I film a lot of my life over the next few years so that I can have something to look back on and remember it all by 😢

Fun Fact about why people cringe when hearing their own voice on camera! When you talk, you hear your voice through the vibrations in your skull, but on camera it comes through the vibrations in the air. This means that on camera, your voice actually sounds slightly lower than it really is, causing you to “cringe” because it doesn’t sound like you!! #funfact 😂😂😂

Can I just say that the fact you mentioned the intertwining struggle of eating and anxiety was so validating for me and I’m sure many others !! This is something I’ve struggled with for so long and genuinely terrifies me for when I move to uni in September (hopefully!!). Thank you for being so transparent with us, we really are all in this together❤️

My favorite thing about Jack is that you can tell how good of a person he is just by watching.

Just finished uni and I remember the feeling of complete terror starting. I cried myself to sleep for a solid week! I wish I could go back and tell myself it’s all going to be okay and that I would have the time of my life and make some of my closest friends. I hope we all get to experience a graduation, it doesn’t feel right this being the end. Well done Jack!! Xx

It's crazy to me how I started watching you in y12 and now I will start my second year of uni this September. I remember watching this exact vlog before moving to uni and following all the advice you gave, like leaving the door open, etc. I am so proud of you Jack! and can't believe how fast everything has happened... I feel you. I too am a first in my family to go to university. My parents kept panicking about the student debt I will be taking. I had some hard time explaining that I do not have to pay it right off. Now I work full time, and my dad and mom cannot believe one of their own is an office man with a suit and tie. It is worth risking this chance to a better life.

Jack you're not the only one that got hit right in the feels watching this! I literally paused the video to take in the nostalgia! This was the fantastic break from Maths A Level revision that I needed!

Honestly mate, thank you so much for making your vlogs. If it wasn't for you, I think I would've been in the same position of not being sure I wanted to go, not sure I'd fit in because everything else I'd seen about it was that it was a "rich, private school" uni. Just finished my first year and I've absolutely loved it, you're a legend, can't wait to see what the future holds for you❤️

Watching this is making me so excited to go to uni in September, can’t believe how much you’ve grown since then!

I love this so much! I would never have known watching this how nervous you were. Hearing people like you who I look up to as being really confident saying that you are anxious makes me feel better so thanks!

I'm also in my third and final year in uni at the moment and I remember feeling literally the exact same about everything and it's so weird watching you react because that's how I feel too watching this. The feeling of almost wanting to go back in time and tell yourself that it's going to be okay, and you are going to love it there, and you will make the best friends with people there, just trying to reassure myself about things, but yeah feeling total deja vu watching this.

boy oh boy, watching this brings back memories of my own freshers week! I'm out the other side of it now (gradded out in 2017) but you nailed it saying that freshers is seen as the best week. It was awful :') so to anyone who is ridiculously nervous don't worry there are a lot of people feeling that way! plus if you don't feel like going out in freshers don't you're with the people in the flat/block for a year you'll get to know them eventually! be yourself. Great vid Jack, nailed it in one showing the difference!

I remember watching this the same time i had just started my degree at Edinburgh uni and have now finished my 3rd year going onto my 4th. So weird remembering the feelings i felt watching your first uni vlog and the reactions to how you felt then as it reflects how i felt and feel so perfectly ! 🥺🥺😥

the whole concept of moving to university is so foreign to me because my uni is literally an 18 minute or 30 minute train ride away depending on the line, but also the first year uni experience was stolen cause we're online now. i literally did one class there in march and from april its been online.

It’s always felt like Jack has been extremely transport and open and shared his experience and it definitely made going to university a lot less scary for me but I really like that we’re getting to see a side of him where he’s actually talking about how nervous he really was because although he sounds nervous in comparison to how he is today when I originally watched that vlog I thought he was so confident and it just gave me this radiant energy that I needed to feel comfortable going into university. I can recall rewatching his whole university series even when I was in my second and third year of university just when I was feeling down and I needed a reminder of how great university is and how many amazing experiences and opportunities you get
