Hello Chef! Please ignore anybody that tells you that your videos are too long. There are so many chefs, cooks, and hobbyists on KZread to watch. We (I am) here because I chose to follow you, just the way you are. I appreciate you slowing down and explaining things. This is something that a lot of other channels don't offer. It's ok to be different and go against the grain (just like a good steak. -see, you taught us that) No need to feel rushed or that your videos are too long. WE. LOVE. THEM!!!

Who ever is saying that Chef Jean's videos are too long, are not interested in learning how to cook. They are only interested in criticizing his videos. I like how Chef explained things in details/ step by step rather than a cooking channel where the Chef only shows the finish product of his videos without explanation how it was cooked.

I’ve loved cooking for over 30 years. Honest to God, this channel has improved my cooking skills more in the last 3 years than everything else combined for the previous 30. It’s not the recipes- which are great! It’s the TECHNIQUES and the philosophy and as chef says, the WHY behind them! Anyone can read a recipe and try it. It’s Chef’s explanation of the principles behind them that are applied to numerous other situations which is so important. I hope you continue this channel forever! Thank you for everything.

I've been cooking for 50 years - Your channel has filled in many of the blanks I couldn't learn on my own. It has confirmed many of the things I've experienced, but were contrary to what was on TV or KZread. Since watching your channel, I have developed my own recipes; taking the "why's" something works and combining them with different ingredients. Happy Thanksgiving Chef.

A 3+ hr video of Chef Jean-Pierre? Did I die & go to the great kitchen in the sky? This is a wish come true for me! I prefer long videos. The longer the video the more I learn. Also with the longer video you, Chef, won't feel rushed to get things done. To all those who want short videos, guess what, Good Food Takes TIME! I enjoyed this video so much I watched it 3 times. Don't worry about repeating yourself. Repetition builds memory. You give us the "Why"! If I could have made my Mother understand the importance of actually answering the "why," it would have been easier for her to teach me. You have taught me more with answering the "why" than she ever did with the "because I said so." I got such a kick out of you critiquing your own videos. You not only validated your skill, but your honesty & love of cooking. Bless your parents for having you. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. And yes, I remember watching you on T.V. sitting next to my Mom (may she rest in peace) on the couch & asking her, "Why?" as we watched. Happy Thanksgiving to you, your Mrs., Jack, The whole Chef JP Team, & to everyone who took the time to watch, like, & subscribe! Edited for grammar.

Can confirm two recipes are must makes - Gravy, Green Beans & Cranberry Sauce - I usually cook for 35+ people when my family puts on Thanksgiving. They loved it. This year, since my wife's family is cooking, I'm taking the cranberry sauce (my Mother In Law loved the test batch I made last year) Bottom line, make all of this. I made the gravy/sauce on Tuesday, all were a crowd pleasure.

Here in the UK we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I will always celebrate great food and you are the only chef I follow regularly on KZread. Don't worry about talking too much, we learn better when we know the reasons why things are done a certain way, and we love your passion and humour. I might not make many of your recipes exactly as shown, but I take elements of them to make up my own all the time. It will take a while to get through this long video, but I will do it, even if it takes several separate viewings :)

He explains his process and you retain his info. He loves what he does and so it's easy to love cooking too. There are so so many laughs as we watch " go to Tic tac toc channel" " this keeps for 17 years in the freezer" and many hours. On a gloomy day I always turn to a Chef JP video which is guaranteed to be a ray of sunshine. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Chef. Chef...Great show today. As always you were entertaining and your tips and tricks are very useful. Didn't think I had the time even though my wife and I are fully retired to sit for several hours we did and fully enjoyed every minute of it. We look forward until the next time you do a video like this one. Would love to see the lemonchello cheese cake recipe. Thanks again Wes

Chef, watched the entire 3+ hours in one sitting. Looking forward to doing the turkey and the cheesecake this Thanksgiving. I can’t thank you enough for changing cooking from a chore to a joy. Your tips, tricks, humor and recipes have elevated my abilities to a whole new level. Never apologize for either the length of your videos or your explanation of the proper use of a micro grater. You inspire, educate, entertain, all of us. I hope you (and Jack) have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

It is so neat watching you react almost the same in the in picture as you were when you were making the dishes. It shows your passion and commitment to your art. Have the happiest and most blessed Thanksgiving ever Chef!

"Tik tak tok" best line ever!!!! It is so refreshing to hear someone tell people plain and simple, " you don't like it? Go somewhere else". I enjoy watching your videos, regardless of whether or not I can eat them (allergies), I enjoy the lessons and techniques that are explained. Being Australian, we don't do Thanksgiving, but food is food. Cheers, Chef!

Chef, I have been using your recipes for three years, and they are amazing! This Thanksgiving 2023, the complements I received about the juicy, tender, flavorful turkey were a testimonial to you and your ability to communicate your recipes to us, the novice chefs. Thank you so much for sharing. My kitchen experiences have become a passion for cooking. Best wishes to you for the coming New Year.

Thanks Chef! I think this was your best video yet. I really liked the format. With making the gravy ahead, making the cheesecake and sauce ahead, prepping the beans ahead, prepping the bacon wrapped turkey ahead, mixing the dressing ahead, the Thanksgiving dinner is going to be amazing this year. Thanks again. After holiday feedback. Made the gravy, the dressing, the bacon wrapped turkey breast, the mashed potatoes, the butternut squash soup, the cranberry sauce, the green beans. Added the Brussels sprouts. Skipped the cheesecake - a guest was bringing dessert. Dinner was wonderful! Company potluck is coming up - I am bringing the bacon wrapped turkey. I am going to roast it on a rack so the bacon on the bottom gets a little more browned. Thanks again for your wonderful lessons and recipes.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I watched the whole 3 hours. I can't begin to tell you how amazing it was. I was taught at a very early age how (I thought) to cook. I cooked that way all of my life. Little did I know it was the incorrect. I also was told "this is the way you do it." So, everything you teach here is not only "how" but "why' and we really appreciate that. I have now learned how and why to do things the proper way and to make not just ok meals but amazing meals by following your channel. You're an amazing man, great teacher and a fabulous chef! Thank you Jean Pierre.

Please don't listen to anyone who wants shorter videos. We wouldnt learn as much if you didn't take the time to explain the why of what you are doing. We don't even celebrate Thanksgiving here in Ireland yet I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this. Thank you for making cooking fun and enjoyable again.
