"Lets bring back to 140" is literally 1:40 in the song (without the intro of the MV) Its also 140 bpm So it has double meaning

Dancing Queen was shot in 2008 and was supposed to be released instead of Gee, but they had issues because Duffy released her version. It's a decision that worked on their favor since Gee skyrocketed them to fame. As for I Got a Boy, it was like the DDDD of its time. IGAB was everywhere! From school parties, radios, everywhere! It's also the song that got me into Kpop. I believe that it's a concept that no one can pull off but SNSD.

The "Lets go back to 140" refers to the beat per minute. So yeah it's so cool and i think the time on the song (minus the opening part)

Actually, you were already right when you brought it back to 1:40!! However, this is the music video, and there's the intro and all, but if you do it on the official audio version, after Jessica said her lines, the chorus that was played in 1:40 comes back. 140 is also the BPM (beats per minute?) of the chorus.

Fun fact: The MV for Girls Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the new Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the KZread video awards. SNSD are queens for a reason. :D This was the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40" which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat. "I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as BigBang's "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later. Girls Generation debuted in 2007 so this year is their 14th anniversary. As you have discovered, they are known as one of the most visually stunning girl groups with some of the best vocals and dancers in the industry. As an SM Entertainment group it is, once again, no surprise that they are such great singers and dancers. That is just what you should expect from SM Entertainment groups. :D As you may know, they are still an active group, however, Jessica Jung left the group in 2014. So they are now an 8 member group. Then, in 2017, 3 of the members left SM Entertainment -- Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Sohyun. But all 3 have said they have not left SNSD and would like to still collaborate with the group in the future. All 3 are now working on their solo career. SNSD's last comeback was as a sub-unit called Oh!GG which debuted in 2018 with the 5 members who are still with SM -- Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri, Sunny and Hyoyeon. My brother thanks for the reaction 😊😊 Well Dancing queen MV was filmed in 2008 and Gee as well and when SM had to choose the title track for the album Gee stood out so Dancing queen dropped and SM didn't release it and when i got a boy MV and album were in preparations SM thought about giving dancing queen a chance to be in the album and they made it as a preparation for i got a boy and you can see in dancing queen's MV intro that yoona holding an MP4 or whatever it is and it's written 2008 so it's as if they came back with time to 2008 when they did the song For I Got a boy 😍😍 i love it so much this song was a jam when it came out and it is still until now , the song has many switches and it's like 4 or 5 songs in 1 song , and the visuals were on point you need to watch a live performance of I got a boy Info : SNSD won KZread's video of the year award for i got a boy in that year against many iconic and well known celebrities like lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber and others

If you just wanna know why 'I Got A Boy' was and still iconic and a bop, because it's the Bohemian Rapsody of KPop. Having like 4 to 5 genres in one song. If you want to understand the concept of F(x)'s 'RED LIGHT', Red Velvet's 'ZIMZALABIM' and Aespa's 'NEXT LEVEL, they are all inspired by their mother group's song. It's a SM Ent thingy.

The 1:40 refers to the time stamp of the song itself. The mv has intro so going back to the 1:40 mark of the mv wont make sense. It does refer to 120 beats per minute as well. They’re referring 2 things at one. As a SONE, I introduce SNSD to my non-sone/kpop friends by allowing them to watch or hear MR. MR. MV/song. It resonates why SNSD is considered of high regard to the KPOP scene.
