I don't know the film but found this online: Mr. Hyde is a citizen of Halloween Town. He keeps two smaller versions of himself with him: one under his top hat, and the second under that top hat of the first one. And each smaller Hyde's voice is higher, depending on their size. He is voiced by Randy Crenshaw. Mr. Hyde is seen at the beginning of the film during the song This is Halloween. He is seen returning to Halloween Town from the main gate along with the Devil and Behemoth as they lead the Pumpkin King scarecrow of Jack Skellington into town. After the song, he cheers for Jack along with the rest of the citizens. After the Werewolf asks "Wasn't it terrifying?", Hyde along with the Cyclops reply "What a night!".

Geoff addressed the question of the overtone sound in one of the videos on his channel. He said it was just subharmonics sung in a higher register.

@@Gavimaster I mean when you first hear it it certainly does sound like overtones, though I sure you could pick apart the difference if you knew both well enough. Plus, high subharmonics aren't used often, this is the only video I know in which Geoff does use it.

I think it might be because the first time we’ve heard a similar effect used in a cappella music was by PTX’s Avi, who always described them as overtones. The more you know! Thanks everyone for clarifying! 🤩

I don't think there was a "Mr. Hyde" in the movie, I think Geoff chose that character because he also represents Halloween, and he's probably a monster that could live in Halloween town. Rachel's voice is perfect. I hadn't noticed Geoff's low until you guys pointed it out. And I loved the closing of Eli !. As always VoicePlay excellent singers and very good actors

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't comment the first time I watched this, but after looking through your videos I realized that there is an older song that VoicePlay did with Rachel Potter that you haven't reacted to you- Attention, by Charlie Puth. It doesn't get a lot of love from reactors, which is a shame, because it's just as good as any of the Disney stuff they do. If you get a chance, would you consider putting it on your list to react to? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

It was two layered subs, wasn't it? One high and one low, if I'm recalling correctly... which I admittedly may not be. Or was it just the weird, Primus-like run he did in Oogie Boogie, where he did that? I feel like that was how the sound was produced on both occasions, with a little extra distortion added as well in Oogie Boogie. But please do correct me if I'm misremembering.

@@joeswanson7634 Okay. I thought I recalled something from one of his Patreon chats, where he was questioned about this riff and the one in Oogie Boogie, and he said first, that he had to go back and re-listen to understand what bits people were asking about, and then said they were layered subs. But as I said, I could be misremembering, so maybe I ought to go back and rewatch that chat so I know what I'm talking about. ;)
