THIS is why i love your reaction channel! you can't fake a reaction as genuine as yours was. This performance is beyond profound. I lost my father 7 years ago, and he was everything to me in my life. It was always just him and me vs the world as he raised me by himself in a humble ramshackle house in the middle of no where in a desert. we were quite poor but i never felt it because he made my childhood feel rich. My dad was my best friend, and hero. I cannot watch this performance without becoming a blubbering mess.. its an impossibility for me. No shame in it. It proves the love and the soul.

I feel that way about my dad too even though I don't see him often casue of him being divorced with my mom and the new jerk jealous step mom he married I still remember all the things he did with me that meant a lot to me. He is like a hero to me and I always have fun with him doing anything

Iam is the sweetest soul with the most soothing voice I've heard in ages. I was so happy he won the whole thing and I hope his music carries him through his life.

*IAM* was so amazing not only on stage but he also left an impression off stage with his humble character and bright, positive spirit. When I saw this audition, in real time, I predicted him as the winner. James Blunt did join IAM on a duet of this song for the finale.

the way he looks over his shoulder for his pops when he sings, "feel my hand on your arm" is so heartbreaking

When I saw this the first time, it broke me as well. I was very close to my Dad, so all those feelings of caring for him the last 5 years of his life came back up. The duet he does with James Blunt will kill you. He deserved to win! I WARNED YOU ABOUT KEEPING TISSUES NEARBY, lol!

It's how Iam sings it that grabbed many of the voters who voted for him all throughout AI. During the middle of the show it was more like the Iam Tongi show and the fans were there cheering for him and every song of his videos were reaching 1M views. I lost my beautiful momma in 2011 due to lung cancer. This song is rough to get through for sure. The first time I heard it, I got part way in and broke down. There was a song that I listened to the day after my momma passed, that made me break down. The song is Forgiven by Within Temptation. If you choose to react to it, please pick a lyrics video or a live performance. Don't watch the official video as they cut out a verse from the song in it.

And while I have never personally met him, his mom’s oldest brother is one of my husband’s best friends, his father’s younger brother was one of our friends at university, and also once dated my ex-sister-in-law, and I used to babysit his first cousin (his mom’s older sister’s baby) Ho’olono, so we kind of feel like he’s family and followed him on KZread where he used to sing with his dad long before he auditioned for American Idol. I usually watch your Kpop reactions, but it’s kind of fun to see you react to something that’s a little closer to home for me.

OKAY. I was totally weirded out by the thought of “Chaka Khan” doing this song. To people who were of age in the 1970s and 80s, Chaka Khan is the African American female lead singer of a funk band named Rufus. She’s a multiple winner of Grammys, and back in the day, she was one of the slinkiest, sexiest performers out there. Her big hit was “Tell Me Something Good.” I think she stil performs today, but not in a million years would you expect to hear Monsters from her. So now I find it’s actually Cakra Khan, you’re talking about. Never heard of him but now I’ve heard his version a bit, and it’s not comparable. He has a nice voice but he pitched it too high, it’s way out of his range. Iam was near perfect here, with just the right amount of stress in his voice but not so much that he lost it. How he held some of those long notes, like “you can FEEEEEEEEEEEEL a lifetime” I don’t know how he did that. So beautifully pitched with just a hint of vibrato. Anyway, look up Chaka Khan and imagine what a 65 year old would have been thinking and you’ll have a good laugh. And we here in Hawaii appreciate your reaction. He’s made us proud representing the islands.

Day 78 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out.
