I can tell you whats going on there, years ago i watched a friend play an old rpg game and he made his character a girl and when i asked him why his response was "If im going to be stuck staring at somebodys ass for the next couple of days id rather be staring at one I like"

Hell in FF 14 my main was primarily White Mage

My enjoyment in OW got ruined over time by randos not even trying to look out for team comp, always going for their favorite big dps character and I remember the days when you had a team full of Hanzos. I always felt pressured to fill that support spot to just have at least a chance of winning that game. Nowadays I just don't give a f anymore what some rando wants me to do or not do. I have resorted to playing multiplayer games with all coms turned off because people are just shit anyway so why bother.

I think the only real good way to enjoy online cooperative gaming like that is to have your own circle of friends who want to group up. Sort of like good old pick up groups from mmos from 15 - 20 years ago. Find people who are good and enjoyable to be around and friend them up

Toxicity in OW is what ruined my enjoyment of the game. Blizzard just doesn't do anything about it. Slaps on the wrists for people literally telling other people to kill themselves. It's a joke.

7:10 I think girls tend to pickup the healer roles, mostly because they haven't built up that cooperative confidence yet. And healers tend to get called out less, and are genuinely more appreciated. But the problem is, is this becomes the comfortable role for many women, and it's hard to move away from it 🤣. If we wanted to hear the phycology of it. But really, all love for my gamer girls, we need less sausage in this online space, haha.

I play tank, have always played tanked. In wow back in the day and now in ffxiv. I have tanked the hardest content in ffxiv and cleared :D More girls should tank, its not just a "man" role. I do heal too but Tank will always be my main role

Yep, and that's not even a spoiler for the actual movie since it's shown right at the beginning, it's just that someone who doesn't know the "importance" of that word might not remember it until the "reveal" at the end. And yep, it's simply overlapping curves, same as for pretty much everything, such as physical strength. Plenty of men are less competitive than even the average woman, same as plenty of men that are physically weaker than the average woman. It's just that the average woman is more team oriented than competitive, and I'd bet good money that the "extremes" are somewhat similarly distributed, that the most/least team oriented woman (apart from actual deficiencies such as mental illnesses) is still more team oriented than the most/least team oriented man (just as the strongest man is significantly stronger than the strongest woman). But the overlap is large enough that for the vast majority of cases, it's utterly useless to make a judgement about the individual by just looking at whether they're male or female.
