Thank you. I loved your reaction! To appreciate the VERY end--when Kevin sang--you have to realize that when this came out, we had hardly EVER heard Kevin's singing voice! The impact of that totally unexpected solo was grab-the-table-and-hold-on-for-dear-life urgent! Gorgeous, sad song. Superb vocals from all 5. Kirstie really shone! Avi's solo still stuns me---"You're the one that I love, and I'm saying goodbye." The solo/duet/trio moment from the three boys at 3:14 to 3:40. And then Kirstin's crystal-clear voice comes in on top. Then, as I said, the shocker of Kevin singing the final line. This is one of their very, very best. Top 5.

That is my reaction every time I hear them..so emotional!! They remind me of the old photographs from years ago. Scott seems to be really gripping the chairs so he doesn't move, Kirstin really floors me with her sadness..as does Avi. Great reaction!!

elaine adams They said that an old photograph is exactly what they wanted the video to look like. That's why they weren't really moving their arms and hands. You can see them talking about it and some behind the scenes of it in ptxperience.

When Kirsty hits that note if your lower lip isnt trembling your not human...so powerfully moving! Amazing heartfelt reaction, thank you for sharing it with us :)

I can relate to what you are saying about how the song has special meaning as it came out right around the time I left my husband. I didn't realize it until you started to explain your connection to the song that the PTX version doesn't make me feel the way the original does. Perfect example how they take a cover, put their touches on it and I don't immediately attach the sad memory to it. Don't get me wrong, I get emotional when I listen to it and get MAD chills (esp Avi's solo) but since PTX helped me through the dark times, I typically associate all their songs with good & positive memories! Loved the reaction and the fact you got all fancy dress for it! :-)

I love how nobody notices Avi and Scott vocalizing in harmony with Kevin's cello.

@@rogerramjet5214 Mitch is also harmonizing with it at certain places as well. If you watch him, you can tell. I'm not surprised because _everyone_ wants a duet with Beyoncé.

I'm crying too. I have a story too. This song puts me right back in that horrible, silent moment. They did their job, they made us feel.

OMG, clicked so fast. I have watched this a bajillion times, and it *still* gets to me - soooo good. I think many people have had relationships go...awry, in a "Say Something"-relevant kind of way, and PTX's voices and arrangement and the way they clearly put *their* hearts into the song make it hit, so, so hard. Thanks for bringing it back to me - need to go get my own tissue now :)

I'm no musical expert but in my opinion this has to be one of the most brilliant arrangements they've done so far. I don't listen to this song often just because the song itself is really emotional but when I listen to it I'm always absolutely mesmerized with everything this arrangement has to offer. It's fantastic.

2 things. 1. when i first saw this video, I walked away right after, and did not watch it again for a solid week. And 2 just FYI. This is one of the very few videos that Kevin never smiled in You held it together magnificently :)

Kirsten looks sad. Avi, Mitch, Scott, and Kevin are her guardian angels, determined to stop anything from hurting her ever again.

"Say Something" is one of those songs that has special meaning to lots of people and serves as a reminder of how difficult relationships can be, especially when communication breaks down. BTW, I thought it was quite poetic of you to wear a pretty dress to react to a sad song. Lol. That was a very Natalie thing to do. ❤️

3:40 is the moment when you see Nat get hit by the notes. She just looks at the camera with a bewildered "What why how?" look. It's awesome.

And that accent...I love it...have missed seeing you and look forward to seeing you again....be strong and all the best!

This one almost always gets me too. But to help cheer me up I always look at Scott and it makes me laugh. Why? Because he looks so white in this video. He is almost the same color white as the background. If he wasn't wearing clothes I don't think we would have been able to see him at all. People would have thought he left the group. :) Sorry that is a terrible joke and I hope it doesn't ruin the video for you. As with most of their covers I prefer this to the original.
