For the life of me I can't understand how some people bag this album...it's like are we even hearing the same record? The whole album is complete fire from start to finish, I'd even rate 2 or 3 songs in my top 10 TOOL songs ever...and I started my TOOL journey when Opiate came out. Personally I think some people just think it's cool adopting the 'I like your old stuff better than your new stuff' mentality...just like Regurgitator said hey Rach! :)

Absolutely. Been listening for almost 30 years. Fear is by far the best album, in my opinion. But like every Tool fan, their favourite song is the one they are listening to at that moment.

Descending is my favorite Tool track. Which is a big call because I've always been a firm believer that "Your favorite Tool track is the last Tool track you heard." Fear Innoculum is a masterpiece from beginning to end.
When you realize Danny can do this entire song live and make it sound better than the album version. 🤯🥁🙇

Gotta love Danny's live performances of the song, but for me, I really dig the studio version. The mix is so WIDE. Joe Barressi working his magic. The heavy stereo emphasis really makes it feel like in order to become Pneuma, you have to "reach out and beyond". Always trying to catch the distance of Maynard's vocals, but absorbing them, and feeling that positive energy this album really pushes.
AMAZING REACTION and what an amazing and opened minded couple y’all are! I’ve always said that PINK FLOYD + LED ZEPPELIN + RUSH = TOOL. This was so special and she caught on right away, she gets it and not many people do. Looking forward to the drum cam, it’s absolutely MIND BLOWING! Cheers from Texas!

Enjoyed watching Rach's eyes open wide and wider every time she'd experience TOOL ecstasy on Pneuma. That happens to me a lot on most of the art put out by TOOL. Enjoy the two of you and your commentary.

In an interview Danny said they basically spent over 5 years going to the studio M-Th for 4 or 5 hours. So, they just kept playing around/composing for years until they were all happy with what they put together. Danny also said he can't keep drumming like this forever, so hopefully by 2024 or 2025 we get more :))))) I can hope !!

I think she has the Tool head Bob down great. It's never going to be in sync on every beat like you are used to. But you find the general groove to move with and it fits the overall song. Hard to explain. It gets you somewhere deep, rhythmically speaking.

I can't get over how good Wal Basses sound, as soon as Justin joined tool and I got to hear one out in front of the mix for the first time, I fell in love instantly. Can't see myself ever spending that much money on a bass though, I just admire them from afar. Maybe I get lucky some day and one finds me! 🤞Great Song! Always enjoy jamming along to your reactions! What the hell! You were in a studio with them while recording? Full on jealousy here! I have seen them live 5 times over the years, but to get to see the songs get molded into these masterpieces first hand would be a dream indeed! You are a lucky man!

@@RDMusicExchange Yeah I worked a show for Tool when I worked for Rhino staging, didn't get to meet anyone or even look at them really, kinda strange rules when you work for staging companies, but I did get to see sound check and pre show jams, and then watch the show from side stage for free, which was good, but I feel like I would have liked it more in the crowd, sound is weird on stage, and it was at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state, big outdoor venue so needless to say stage sound was hollow and echoed a bit...but I would not give that experience up for anything

@@RDMusicExchange Yeah best job I ever had was Rhino Staging, met Trent Reznor, Joe Elliott, Gene Simmons, Tommy Lee during their final tour, Carina Round from Puscifer, who said Maynard is a total recluse on tours, was in the bus until 3 minutes before show started, a whole series of country artists I couldn't begin to name, don't listen to country, but they certainly are friendly! And a bunch more, tried meeting Rush when I worked the time machine tour, but only got to build Neils drum riser, and I got to play Geddy's Fender Jazz that he used that night, thank you sound guy from Rush, think his name was Brent, so that was good enough, that show was amazing by the way! I will definitely go back to work for them again once things settle down and are a bit more normal

I've been lucky enough to see 7 live shows over the years, starting with the Opiate tour. The evolution is awesome. If you haven't seen a live show, bucket list it NOW!They are always immaculate musically, but the actual experience of a concert will blow your mind out of the back of your head. Their choices for opening acts(if they have one)are always a bit eclectic,if not downright weird.

Thanks for watching! Yes, I've been fortunate enough to have seen Tool quite a few times. First time was back for the Undertow tour in a tiny club in London, and most recently in Feb 2020 in a massive stadium in Sydney (and yes, the opening act for that was a bit difficult to enjoy!). It's been amazing watching them grow as artists both in the records and live. Lots more Tool to come!

A lot of people struggle to get into them because of the time signatures and the fact that Maynard is often buried back in the mix... It took me a while to "get" their whole catalogue. I was a teenager when 10000 days came out and I had heard bits of tool (mainly aenima based stuff) but wasn't "into" them. The song that get me listening regularly was the pot; although long it's a pretty straight rock/metal song, and that branched me out. The last few years their whole catalogue has started to connect with me; finally going back and listening to the stuff that I, shamefully, used to skip (disposition/reflection/triad for example) and being able to absorb it has been amazing. That being said, I still don't listen to opiate or undertow much, and with fear inoculum I tend to stop after descending finishes.
