Dee is a music lover of all kinds - particularly Prog Rock.
Rach loves a groove, loves music of many kinds - Prog Rock isn't really her bag.
Dee is hoping the Great Prog Experiment works, and that Rach will finally see the light!
We'll see...

This and the powers that be 👍
Women + Prog = Nah
the guy gets it..its in him but the lady here has nothing coming back its not for her i feel
fairy glen..when it hits more of the meaning of life..either you get it or not
Dude, you are conducting this tune with your whole body - surely not a first listen! But nice reactions nevertheless. Cheers.
You're clearly someone who skips intros and goes straight to the song (which I find weird). I have heard the tune and love it, it's Rachel who is experiencing it for the first time. That's the point of the channel. Thanks for watching
@@RDMusicExchange or I was just multitaksing lol. Cool. That explains it. ...And thanks for not flaming me too hard 🙂
🤝👍👏
The Steve Howe riff at the end is there to bring the listener back to Earth. Grounding.
And also to call back to the opening track of the album.
This crying guitar of Steve Hackett - OMG...!
No hablen por favor , son muy desagradables
HA HA HA!!!🤣🤣🤣
Hearing this song whether you're listening to a recording or seeing it live is an experience in itself. True genius and a masterpiece!
I wish I could see my face the 1st time I heard that. It probably looked a lot like that though.
remember that Floyd had to hire 3 singers to replace ONE.. Claire had just retired after 19 years of doing this AMAZING
"animals" turned me from a casual fan (mostly stuff i heard on the radio from "dark side" and "wish you were here") into an obsessed one. in may 1977 my friend called me and said, "pink floyd are playing at the stadium tonight. we should go". that night changed my life. the next day i went out and bought "animals" and throughout that summer i bought the entire back catalog, immersing myself in their music. by the time i went back to school in september for my sophomore year i was a different person. gone was the pop music fan,and my outlook on music (and the world) changed forever.
my favorite song from this album. not enough people do reactions to waters' solo work,so thanks for this video. btw we lost jim ladd this past december. he's the voice of the dj on this album . RIP
Me too, and you're welcome :)
I agree that Eddie is beautiful, particularly in the 90"s. He has equally beautiful heart and soul. Awesome vocal talent. Huge heart. Just an overall beautiful man. ❤
If Mozart, in his grave, would have listened to this concert, he would have unconsciously smiled.
React close to the edge
I love this song.👌🥂🌷❤️
I hate first reactions when your singing along, maybe its first time for the lady but it spoils the reaction when your singing along man
Oh well
For those who don’t know, during this video the band starts playing in 11/8 time at 3:40
Hallelujah! Someone else has the same opinion of those aggressively filthy descending chords in Gilmour's solo.
Yes, Director Adrian Maben actually lost the reels of the other performers footage so this song mainly focuses on, because there was no choice, drummer Nick Mason. Rock on!!
It took seeing this live for me to fully embrace this song. Its too bad the "flight jam" only played on that tour isnt availble on any official release
I forget how much of a beast Nick was back then! I haven't watched this for a few years, and it brought back a bunch of memories!
David gets sounds out of his guitar that are insane. When I use my trem bar and I don't get that sound for sure! Your experience at the short gig reminded me of when I saw Alice Cooper in the early 70's and during the third song somebody threw a big firecracker on stage and the guitar player was injured a bit. They didn't come back for many years.
Masterpiece
Steve Wilson is an underrated genius
Steve Hunter is and was a hired gun. He played some solos credited to Joe Perry on Get Your Wings. Timeslip is one of my favorite Bruce tunes. Second only to Out Into The Fields. It really shows that Bruce was the greater part of Cream’s sound through his vocals, harmonically complex compositions, bass, cello, and keys. It does leave you wanting more! Maybe a point was being made to Cream fans? I recommend reviewing some of Jack’s work with Robin Trower. SEVEN MOONS is a fantastic album
My favourite version of Out Into The Fields is from the Inazuma Super Session "Absolute Live" Bootleg show - absolutely stunning vocal and playing by Jack on that one. Track it down if you haven't heard it. I've just seen it's on Apple Music music.apple.com/jp/album/inazuma-super-session-absolute-live/1535475378?l=en-US
This not just a song , this is part of a rock opera novel , THE WALL ! .
The greatest song , from the greatest album ever, from the greatest rock band ever . How can you not ??
Prince was the most dynamic artist that ever walked this planet. He was magical, beautiful & a straight up genius.
I had the pure joy of seeing them front row in Munich on the Union tour (90? 91?) And they played this in its entirety. I get every one of Dee’s head bobs…I do it too! And Rach, Jon is singing in full chest voice, he just has a male soprano range. I am now awake again!
The Warning... try to react to the Warning song
Like the time I ran away, turned around and you were standing close to me. This is so beautiful to me as it is the essence of caring, and the essence of the sociable part of our species. And those that would never feel the beauty of such music and such understanding would have to be the bast'rds in our midst. Anti-social and uncaring. The definition of republican politicians in the USA today for instance.
The Radio Waves song is the only song I hate on the album.
Agreed! I deleted when I burnt the album into iTunes years ago!
David was playing a lap steel guitar!
Vibe out brother!. Floyd never rush their journeys....but we wouldn't have it any other way!
The G.M.O.A.T❤
Grounds for divorce. If she doesn't get it, she'll never get you. Run away....sorry
Ha, no, we're good thanks. Check out the other Floyd vids we've done, Rach gets on a lot better with the likes of Sorrow, Great Gig in the Sky and One Of These Days. And at least you know you're getting an honest reaction :)
Who needs information is great
Soul+blues+gospel mixed in one, no one can do it better but Aretha killed it, thats why she is the queen of soul, no doubt about it❤
Don’t forget Linda Rondstadt!
Its about dying ........ Obviously!!
I love Kate Bush. And I love this song. And I'll never get why anyone can make money by posting "first listen reaction" vids. If you don't know her, and you don't know this song, your reaction is worth less than a used condom. Maybe twice used. The Gilmor bit is especially disappointing. He has great effects but as a player, he is a very predictable (and therefore boring) pentatonic box player. The real brilliance of this song is the way Kate used the Trio Bulgarka. Amazing. TImeless. Unique. Gilmour ... meh. And of course her lyrics ... no one can touch her.
Nobody makes any more from these videos other than the artists. Didn't do it for the money, just for a bit of fun.
This is a showcase of Gilmour's ability to wring every bit of emotion out of his guitar.
One of Jean Alexander's faves
Is it deliberate that you're wearing a T Shirt that has 'Gilmour' on it?
Yes, its a replica of one he used to wear on tours during the Animals era.
I could watch this on a loop! Remember the first time I saw it I was 15, and watching Eddie write pro choice on his arm impacted me hard!!! ❤
That song is like hearing Goran Bregovic 10 years early xd
Subscribed because of her soul finding a song.
YES! 😊
