Sounds like you are saying air Like an American Most kiwis say ear or maybe eir? Just something I picked up on.. Keep up the content I'm planning a manual swap for an awd odyssey and trying to see if I can make it work and legal so this is good info since they are so close to crvs

Glad its helping out. Yeah my accent is cooked 😐 mixed kiwi American lol. More work on the kswap coming soon need to get a few little things out of the way first, handbrake on the rd1 and stripping the rd5 for the awd k transmission etc.

Not sure if you got your mounts yet, but hasport just released a bracket for the awd tranny using the ekk1 mounts (ek subframe, not dc/eg)

Ffs.. lol. Well that mount change i believe only really benifits high hp builds, somthing to do with the rear mount bracket cracking blocks? In my case it will stay in the 230hp range for a while before going full blown turbski. Cross that bridge later 😂

Spoke to brain at hasport ekk6 mounts is what you want for awd k swap keeping crv subframe. Ekk2 will work with eg/dc subframe in the rd1 but he recommends spacing the rear mount off the eg/dc subframe by 0.4" or 10mm

@@jdmnuggets nice one, thank you. I presume ekk6 will mount the engine in the same way as ekk1 in ek chassiss? Crv engine bay is taller so probably not a problem and there isn't much difference in weight distribution unless we are talking race cars at competitive level. The only way that I would swap out crv subframe is if I got a hold of 98spec jdm itr rack, any other rack is downgrade comparing to crv rack.

Any chance you sell your bull bar?

BTW, next time get a non-airbag steering column part from an EK or something. Saves you of making that stuff by yourself. And maybe you could've just swapped out the inner part..?

Where did you get the upper glove box compartment? My RD1 is left hand drive by the way

Remove the bulb 💡 😂. Well kinda... I've deleted the srs system, airbags, module and wiring.... so there is nothing left to turn the bulb on or off.

@@jdmnuggets gotcha so if u disconnect the srs system from the cluster it wont light up by default? Or is that only because u removed everything I'm only asking because I'm gonna be installing an aftermarket steering wheel tommoarow and wanted to avoid running out and finding a 2.2ohm resistor to trick the system into thinking it's still there

Sorry the only solution i know of is a resistor or completely delete the srs, lhd obviously thats not as easy. Depends what region you're in and what the laws are around srs.
