It would be great to witness the demolition of this building all the way down to the basement

Questions: How long did the interior demolition take, before the structural demolition began? I noticed that most of these buildings are fully gutted prior to this phase. Do these communities require extensive recycling of building materials? Also, do these companies bale the rebar on site for later recycling? Are there regulations about that? Thanks.

For a large building, gutting the interior might take a couple of months. Little recycling is required. Metal and concrete are kept separate from the trash in order to save money on disposal. They use a crusher attachment on the excavator to separate out the rebar from the concrete. The rebar is then put into piles and squeezed together a bit to get it ready to load onto trucks. I have only filmed one job where they used a baler on site: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5an082ye7u4qaQ.html

@@JohnZWetmore Interesting at 1:08:26 apparently this is the same model of shear as on the big orange excavator but this shear seems to be very big on this pc-400 so it gives an idea that orange excavator is a very big machine

These are great videos and the jaws crushing through the reinforced concrete are amazing, but cannot get over how much water is wasted. I appreciate there is a build up of dust, but to hose it down almost non-stop like you're putting out a forest fire seems unnecessary.
