RC 3D printed boat vs Waves
Ғылым және технология
Update on the 3D printed lifeboat thing! Unfortunately the FPV system got water damaged shortly after the first test (the water pressure was too great under some of those waves. I did get alot of Iphone Slo mo stuff of the boat and some fixed gopro shots on it to not make a video so enjoy this weeks!

Just wanted to say that this channel deserves more subs and views. The content is of very high quality. Much love
This is sweet pete! on a larger scale this is some phenomenal stuff. imagine a boat taking on waves that size
I remember when I was too young to understand how all this stuff worked, I would look up things like this on youtube. Videos like this and the brushless toy boats always amazed me. So cool that it actually happens now!
Brilliant Peter I love your real fun approach to building lots of interesting projects, your video coverage is first class and I enjoy seeing your workshop bench builds in progress, you certainly have me as a regular viewer, keep up the good experimental work sir.
im so happy when your videos pop up!

G'day, Lockeed-Martin already did that, they call it the "F-35 Lightning" ; but the Flight-Test Community refers to it as "The Little Turd" ! ABC Radio National's Background Briefing did a Doccumentary on it, & the Doccumentary won an Award ; I recorded the broadcast & posted it to YT. Have a good one, ;-p Ciao !

A nice choice for a show to play in the background. :)
wonderful scenery there especially at the end , your videos are great, I look forward to seeing more
Hey Peter! This makes me want to build this or an FPV submarine for my next trip to a beach. What I would add to the boat would be a way to force the nose down into a wave to better cut through it. Might keep it from getting flipped every time. Of course getting tossed around IS a lot of the fun! Keep the great videos and projects coming!

thanks man! and yes perhaps a pointed bow would make it easier to penetrate the waves! I've seen some ships designed like this nowadays.
Your vids just keep getting better! I'm glad I followed you here from Flite Test.
HI I AM NICCOLI FINI TOU . THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRING HARD WORK AND EFFORT. FORCED WIND MOTOR SAILING. I CLIPPED A FEW SECONDS FOR A SEGMENT IN MY JOURNALISM FOR MY INTERVIEW WITH THE NEWS IN COLORADO. I DONT KNOW YOU PERSONNALY BUT IF THE NEWS ACCEPTS THE VIDEO. I WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU. THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU 😁
Thanks for sharing your well done videos peter, you are a very creative and talented man.
AWESOME PETER KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Thanks for the video i have been waiting for it keep up the good work
I cant get enough of you videos, they are great. Talent!
Peter, a suggestion. Avoid negativity in your introductions to your videos, and in general. You had awesome video and made it sound like it was a failure. One of the first rules in performance is to carry on as if nothing has happened, and your audience won't know the difference..This is true for musicians who forget lyrics or actors forgetting lines. Never let them see you sweat. Brush off the mistakes DON'T FOCUS ON THEM!!! Smile, Focus on positive things and you will hold you're audiences attention. I'm not saying don't mention problems...just minimize them and bring attention to the solutions. Smile, be positive...save the moaning for off camera. I am a big fan of your work, and want you to succeed. Good luck !!!

ukulelefatman. I enjoy the negativity. And here's why. Nothing goes as planed, especially in one off or first time builds. Failure is part of the process of building. If it goes right the first time, it wasn't difficult enough. Part of the joy of finishing is the realization of the obstacles that were overcome. So it's not really negativity, it's more honesty about the build and outcome. Love the videos! And the RC duck at the end was very life like ;)

Timothy, I understand, I am a maker as well and have lots of troubles. But Peter is trying to build a new channel. As I mentioned in my earlier post, starting a video saying it's not as good as hoped is a bad Idea. I also said mention the negative, but focus on the solutions. I think you may have missed my point, I'm trying to improve his video production, not gag him.

ukulelefatman i do not a 100% agree with you. the negativity(the letdown) is also a part of the design process, when something doesnt work the way you desinged it. and when you leave al the negative parts out or would feel really fake(what i feel flitetest has become). so i think it should stay in the video. i do agree with you that he shouldnt start with it. he should leave the negativity to the end of the vid so he doesnt scare people away from the awesome vid that follows.

Point taken, I agree. Yes, Flite test is too sugary sweet at times and obviously promotion oriented. Let's agree that Peter should save his comments about problems for the conclusion of his videos and support him with constructive comments in the future. Share his vids, post his channel link to flite test video's and others as often as possible (they seem to be avoiding mentioning his channel, or even his name). Thanks for the comments.....Happy building.

thanks for the feed back guys! :D I wanted to try a slight tweak to the video and come clean with what happened! I'll definitely keep the failures in though, but may shift the storyline around a bit to bring em up later! appreciate the observations!!!
hey peter! building a Bushwacker the last few days, can't wait to fly it! thanks.
The end looks like a car commercial... Cool Video
Best channel i've ever subscribed
Love these can't wait for more
Totally awesome ! Well done.
Do you work with clients to build things like this? Since 37,000 subscribers alone can't be enough to afford a 3D printer, drone, camera, and materials, I think that'd be really cool to have a job like that. You get to build functional pieces and expand your technique and skills to make better things for fun. I'm really enjoying your channel and everything is entertaining, interesting and well edited. I got sucked in by the Lego RC plane, which was insane! Now I look forward to your content and hope your channel and projects expand and flourish!
That moment when you got hypnotized from the drone shots and then BAM! ADVERTISING!
Love your videos petersripol! Keep up the great work!

Just a rough estimate, those waves being 1.5 metres high and your model 100mm = scale waves of at least 45 metres. Good effort. 👍
You ara the best american yt channel! (I'm italian)
i have 2 requests mate.... 1. submarine! 2. hydro-foiling boat!
3D printed robot ? Love your vids
Good video
nice vacation :)
I enjoy your videos but was wondering, Did you leave flite test?
hi Peter nice boat I would love to see it decorated with some life saving lines floaters and emergency red cross or maybe an anchor that would be something 😉
That is pretty friggin cool great video! Are the files available?
So cool
Nice camera shots! Here's what you can do with that boat, strap a javelin missile engine to the back of it. Then launch it into the ocean and see where it goes :)
I'd totally buy it
You should try a 3D printed sail boat, that would be a good challenge
Inspiration!!!!🙃
