So what is the benefit of converting? So if I remember correctly the RB25DET is a push type and the RB25detNEO is a pull type yes? Can I put a Neo transmission onto my S2 motor? Or do I need to convert to push type to install it? And if I don’t need to convert it, what would be the purpose of preferring one over the other?

Hey! this is typically done for a few reasons, usually cost is the large one, as an upgraded entry level push type clutch is around the $700 mark. where as the Pull type of the same level is $2-3k. it is also more common for people to have a push type clutch already and when buying a new transmission from Nissan they are only available in pull. so the conversion is required. also yes you can put a neo transmisson onto your series 2 Engine! you will just require the matching clutch or push type conversion.

@@boost.factory ahhhh okay okay! Yeah so I intend to get a 34 Neo transmission soon to replace my R33 GTST 5 speed and I already have an Exedy twin plate(only like 3k miles on it) installed right now. So I would need to do the push style modification in order to keep that clutch, correct?

@@boost.factory okay cool and so to convert my Neo trans to push type I can just reuse my corresponding parts off of my gtst trans to modify the Neo right? Like tapping that hole to affix that part pushing back right? Like my current transmission should already have all the parts needed to swap over to convert it yes? Looking at your website I didn’t see like a “kit” for converting, so much as a few individual items for sale related to
