    VERY interesting video. I'm thinking of getting a Razer Naga V2 Pro for work (I like the detachable sides, so I can easily adjust to the number of buttons: I'm an old geezer). As far as the dock is concerned, I don't really care about the price, as it fits in with my professional expenses. On the other hand, what really puts me off is the fact that there's no charging safety device. Has this been corrected? And if not, what is the alternative today, 7 months after the release of your video?

    He said that the it overcharges because he is confusing the fact that wireless charging makes a device warm and thinks it's because it's over charging. If the device does over charge he would have no what of knowing unless the battery gets swollen after a long while of being charged all day.

    For me the color doesn't change from red to green when loading, only when the PC is switched off, then the dock and the mouse change color depending on the charge level? Is this normal or how do you fix the problem, I've already reinstalled and run the cleaner over it?

    Just saw this after hearing about the new Razer Cobra Pro, I was wondering what your thoughts are now later on down the line about the usability of the dock? Would you consider it worthwhile now there are more mice that are able to use it? Or considering it's only the newer mice that are able to be used, whether you think it's still just another high price tag low value item? I do think the dock itself is cool, but not worth the price, considering the battery life of mice, I'd much rather just throw it on charge once a week. At the same time though, something like the feature backed Basilisk V3 Pro and the new Cobra Pro, with all the RGB and extra add-ons it would be nice to be able to throw on at the end of the day with how much extra battery is being drained by those extra features.

    Hi @BulletWulf! I also just ordered the Cobra Pro and the only one thing I’m “wishing” that Razer would implement is to allow the dock to pair with multiple Razer mouse without needing . If it could, it would make it really useful for the price. If not, it probably will not change my initial opinion of it 😝

    Did the battery overcharge thing get clarification, or fixed in any update? Does that really happen? I don't want to damage Basilisk battery, so I'm worried about the purchase of Dock. Also, what if I want to use the mouse while charging? The normal cable seems too short, can I use regular USB-A to USB-C on dongle, dock and mouse itself, instead of Razer's own cable (I forgot what the name of razer's usb cable was)? Would be cool if I could use just regular 2 meter or 3 meter usb-a to usb-c cable, instead of razer provided short cable.

    This guy saying that the dock is over charging your the mouse is a baseless claim. Wireless charging is very inefficient and generates as lot of waste in heat and that is why it gets hot. The mouse stops the charge at 100% and starts again when it gets to 99%. Because wireless charging is slower than wired charging it's going to be charging for longer than it not charging. So the chances of him touching the mouse when it is charging is much higher. And since it charges slow that is good for the battery. The only problem is the heat. But according to Samsung batteries on wireless charging devices are designed for this heat and will stop charging if the heat does get too high. Also if this mouse did over charge then it would do it when connected by the cable as well which would degrade the battery faster than your cellphone battery does since your cellphone doesn't over charge either. And it would also cause the battery to swell over time or even explode.

    Will a generic wireless charger charge the mouse if you have the the hyperpolling dongle or would you need to either plug it in or have the mouse dock pro? I'm looking at the new Nagas. Love the mice but last gen wireless dock is questionable for the cost that it was. Also currious if the "hyperflux" mouse mat would be compatible.

    Hi TwerkMaGerk! If you also have the Qi compatible puck, then any wireless charger that works with phones will be able to charge the mouse. As for the Hyperflux mouse mat, it will not work as it doesn't with phones. It also uses the same magnetic field charging as wireless chargers, but I'm guessing it doesn't deliver enough power and wattage to be able to charge other devices other than power the Mamba. 🤥

    I've just got my V3 Pro and Mouse Dock Pro but the mouse isn't charging on it. I've switched the puck over so it does stick to it, but there's no visual indication and the Razer Synapse app just shows the battery percent of the mouse going down. When the mouse goes dark it becomes unfound on Synapse but it still isn't charging. I've tried charging it when it's paired and unpaired but nothing is changing. Any ideas? Because it's so new, there's zero support out there for it right now. Also, like you said, both the underside of the mouse and the actual dock are getting very warm

  • @GamersClinic

    @GamersClinic

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Chloe! Gratz on the new Basilisk! From what you are describing, it sounds like either: 1. Your USB port that the dock is connected to is not supplying enough voltage to properly charge the mouse. Do you have a lot of other power hungry peripherals connected to the PC? (If unsure, try unplugging a few others first) 2. Did you turn the puck for the 3 dots to line up with the slightly shiny dot on the mouse after inserting it into the mouse? The contacts need to touch the pins. 3. You might have a defected mouse or dock unit or both. Try charging something else with the dock to see if that charges. If it doesn't charge even after you try #1, then it could be the dock unit. Also try charging the mouse with any other wireless Qi charger that you use with your mobile phone with the mouse powered on and see if synapse says the mouse is charging. This will help you identify it its the mouse. If either of these do not work, then I am not sure what the problem could be. You will need to issue a ticket to Razer support to see if they can help you >

Already replaced it and the problem persists: The device wont be recognized by my PC after a reboot, not in Windows, nor in the BIOS. The only way is to unplug and plug in the connector again. But there are more problems. It causes my PC sometimes to crash with a BSOD, sometimes the cursor stops to move for multiple seconds! Without that Dock my Basilist V3 Pro works without any issues. I'll try to refund now.

    Hi rarxcat! Try check and see if the puck is turned into the correct position in the mouse so the pins are aligned. The three dots on the puck should line up with the single dot on the mouse. If it already is, then check to see if the USB ports are delivering enough power by connecting the cable directly into the mouse(using the same USB port the the dock is using). If it charges, then it could be the puck that’s defective, or the mouse. Try wirelessly charging something else with the dock, for example a mobile phone to eliminate the dock. If it doesn’t charge even when plugging cable directly into mouse, it could be USB power settings of motherboard. Hope this helps ^^

Not because its over charging.
