Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Review: high quality, high price
Ғылым және технология
We all know Razer products are rarely cheap, but today Mat is checking out the Basilisk V3 Pro that retails for about £60 here in the UK. Razer also sent over the Mouse Dock Pro which adds on another £80 - can the pricing be justified, or is it just too much to ask? Read more here: bit.ly/3JC6TVA

What is your main priority when looking for a new mouse? Would the Basilisk V3 Pro tick the box?

Longevity. The materials it was made from and how resilient the switches are.
as someone that recently got this mouse and that has been using a razor viper ultimate and shortly after the viper 8 k i have to say ive come to realize that light mice actually do more harm than good for me? that and shape and grip in hand seem to effect my game play much more. i just got this mouse and my aim is more consistent.
Lastly i got an "used" Basilisk v3 Pro for 70€. But in reality it was as new as it can get without being sealed. Really great mouse. Feels really good and i'm happy with the price.
That mouse cost more than my power supply. And I thought I’d spent too much on my power supply!
12:15 what motherboard you used in this video? Does MSI Mystic Light work in Synapse 3?

Does the white get dirty ? I have a logitech mz master 3 Grey and it is fifty and hard to clean.
Im confused - with puck inserted does it weigh 114 or 117? The black and white puck gave different results.
i am wondering will razer ever give more option to add like premium aluminium material for that price
Do I need a hyperpolling attachment for the v3 pro?
Razer seem to think they are apple.

Been using the v3 pro and dock pro for a month now. Paired with the black widow 75% and keeping them both at 8k polling and 4500 dpi on the mouse it's been unbelievable, and coming from a console only controller player, the change is unreal. Now I know why I was getting sweat on by every pc player lol

Very fair review, its a stunning looking mouse - the shape, the colours. the quality looks good too. £240 however ? ! Its hard to 'put that price aside Mat' to be honest mate.

Love this mouse, appreciate the weight as i have a larger hand, lighteeight mouse give me more speed but thats not what im looking for as i use below 800 dpi and the weight from this mouse give me a stable aim especially when using sniper
what a great review Mat, you show some of the massive channels how to do this ! Love the mouse, but that price. yeah, ill pass I think. Not sure its worth £240!
Just ordered this mouse minus the charging dock, I'm hoping to catch it on sale later in the future. I myself prefer a heavier set mouse, I am not a big of the "superlight" feel that's been all the craze. From the original G502 and then G903, I am tired of the double click issues that plague Logitech and have decided to give Razer a try. Great video!

Yep im in the same boat. Im done with Logitech. Ive had the Master 3S as well as a few other "premium" mice and they all fall to that double click issue after a year or so.
Thanks for review. It is interesting if ordenary user needs all the features with wheel. But any way it is another amazing product from razer.
reminds me of the logitech mx linup of mice shape and they're very comfortable mice to use needless to say I have a basilisk v3 pro on the way

I’ve got the V2 pro wireless and my issues are the scroll wheel adjustment no longer works properly, neither does the charging dock as it doesn’t seem to make good enough contact to enable charging. If those were fixed i might consider it. However I think I would skip that charging dock too due to price as I found it hasn’t hindered me since it’s went tits up.

Same thing happened to a friend of mines - he got it replaced and the second one now is doing the same thing. Hopefully that wont happy on the V3, but for the pricing it would need to self repair itself over the year !
Hi, need Mouse Dock Pro and Wireless Charging Puck or we can just buy the Mouse Dock Pro without the Wireless Charging Puck to charge the mouse?
@matmynett7220

The Mouse Dock Pro comes with the puck included. You can buy the puck separately but not the Mouse Dock as far as I'm aware.
Great review mat. If you had £240 would you buy the whole bundle yourself? With your own money I mean.

If I hadn't already experienced how convenient the dock is then I've got to say no. After using it for a while though, it's really nice having 4000hz polling and a charger right there when I need it. I'd maybe consider it, but I'd have to have £240 that was very 'spare' and burning a hole in my pocket
Does this mouse smoothly scroll text, i.e. line-by-line, out-of-the-box? I don't think I've had a mouse in donkeys that does this; they all seem to go three-to-five lines at a time, which is really annoying. I really liked this review; certainly joint 1st place in mouse reviews; I'd have to dig to find one as good. IF it scrolls as I want out of the box I'll be after one of these! Your camera still needs to be a tad higher; but kudos - I can see now you are putting your posture first. 👍👏

my only problem with razer is that not all Products and extra items arent all in mercury edition too

Yea i wanted to buy this mouse and was uncomfortable with the $160 price point but was still willing to make the purchase. It was not until later that i realized not only is the new one more expensive but the dock is sold separately for nearly the same price as the entire basilisk ultimate.
Jus got this like a week ago and got the pro dock running at 8k hz. Used razer mamba elite or ye can't remember whatever ones cheaper for past like 7 years dif ones and this is better in all ways maybe besides the feel but even then it's jus getting used to. Like the scroll wheel also because it's bigger so I can jumpshot easier and such because I have my jump in fps set to scroll and use my knuckle to hit side scroll to jump. Love the mechanical buttons and playing sekiro with mouse with left and right click with them switches is game changing. Got the razer strider chroma also coming from Goliath medium cloth pad way more speed and control since it's a hybrid. Is those 3 things worth almost $400? Idk lol prob not but it upgraded my setup like a mf hell spend 3k+ on a new pc thats worth almost 4k because of black Friday sales plus another 1k on a g8 OLED.Anyways thats my life story lol

The ones breaking are their older models. This one is actually worth getting. One thing I would recommend is to get their black version because the white gets very dirty easily and it's hard to remove the stains... speaking from experience. Other than that, it is the best mouse I've ever had. In my opinion, Razer's mice are the only good products from them.

After 1 year exactly dongle stopped working making wireless mode useless meaning= no 1000hz in mouse... I think i will buy the doc pro. Razer propably made dongles useless after sometime so you buy dock pro but still tomorrow i will contact razer to see what they will tell me. 160euros for mous and 100 for dock pro = 260 euros for a fk mouse.. last time is buy razer
bought it for 2k NOK and got scammed for 3k NOK lol. it switched currency before i bought it in the razer website cuz its nowhere else in my land. so uh i looked in every possible positive way and tought: it takes me a month to earn more than i bought it for. so now im owrking as a 14 yr old to pay off the 1000 lol. EDIT: i bought some sorta pack incluidng the mouse and a charger. both pro
wow, thats serious money for a mouse. They are like the Apple of the PC world, but thats what their boss said he wanted them to be....... he is living the dream

Yes, very good, very quality mouse. But it's only a mouse, a pointing device for god's sake. I bet its real cost is, including all that r&d and all, less than half of that price. PS: They know how to charge indeed.
I got the mouse but the dock is WILDLY overpriced for what is it and i cannot justify purchasing it. For the price of the dock i could just buy another mouse when this one inevitably dies in a year or two.
I own, love, and can afford razer products including this one, but this stupidly high price makes me start to dislike this damn company. Out of principle I will be buying my products from a different company from now on.
