    6:53 just a note coming from an audio engineer. The human ear typically cannot hear any frequency above 20KHz, it's possible very few under the age of 15 can hear some frequencies between 20-22k, but for anyone over the age of 18, 20KHz is pretty much a hard cut-off point. This range further diminishes with age. By the time you're in your mid 20's, you wont hear anything above 18.5Khz, so 28KHz does absolutely nothing. What you're likely hearing with the Blacksharks is the slight bump they have in the 6.5KHz-10.5KHz range, adding to that open soundstage you were talking about.

    I came to the comments to post the same thing! Maybe I can add a little extra info which may be at least interesting. As a baby, we all start at 24kHz and every ten years (minus any hearing problems) we typically lose 2kHz. P.s. I had the Blackshark V2 Pro headset a couple of months ago and the stereo soundstage is pretty good, but there's definitely a lack of front-to-back depth which makes most music sound a little 2D. It's still a great headset for gaming, though.

    Although you can't hear above 20khz that range can add resonant tones with lower frequencies that can change the colour of the sound.

    just finished debating between multiple options and ended up buying the Blackshark v2 Pro - the 3.5m jack option is great when you run out of charge and still want to use the headset. In addition, the sound quality is more important to me than the mic quality, which the Pro X is known for although I do wish the Blackshark was built more like the Pro X so it had a more sturdy feel but that probably would eliminate the lightness of it in the process.

    @@Frizzr_7 hey hey, not sure if you made the decision or not - couple of things, the v2 Pro has horrible range in terms of walking away from the computer and listening to music. If you're near the computer and doing what it's meant to do, it's great but it's not a wander around the house headphone. (prob cuz it's not really blutooth or wifi but Razer's own system). And the other thing I did was replace the earpads with off the market, I wear hearing aids but found it a little tight around the noggin. But other than that, solid headphones, no issues other than those two small quirks.

  • @The_Zilli

    @The_Zilli

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@duffon89 for gaming I find it's pretty solid, for videos and what not, it really depends on the video's audio quality as well as how it was filmed. It's really a gaming headset so if you're looking for a jack of all trades type headset, you might be better looking elsewhere. Another thing to consider is that I replaced the pads on these with off the market ones as I found it a little too tight - it did lead to an improvement on comfort. Would I buy these again.. probably not because one thing that is driving me nuts with this headset is the inability to adjust the headstrap, to make it wider or narrower - usually a good feature to have if you wear a ballcap and what not . The other big down side on this model is that because it uses Razer's wireless dongle, it has horrible range when you walk away from the computer. Like if I walk to the bathroom next to my room, itll begin to cut out. If I go down the stairs, it certainly cuts out. And it's not like Im living in a mansion, very small townhouse. But if it's just going to be for gaming and that's it - solid headset. Hope that helps.

    It’s a tough choice for me. In Australia the price is massively different- Gpro $399 vs Blackshark Pro $299 Also, most reviewers probably do test on Windows Machines. For all of Razer good things, their Synapse 3 software doesn’t work on Mac. So it’s basically useless when you can’t modify the sound using software. Replaceable earpads definitely is useful, I’ve had a number of Bose QC earcups when i struggled to line them properly.

    Thanks for the video again! I have been debating over these two earphones for a couple of months now and still can't decide. I am leaning more towards the Logitech if for the only reason of having logitech keyboard and mouse. However I am very dissapointed in the lack of 3.5mm jack. Not that I would use it much, it just feels as if they are giving us so much , yet taking away such a pivotal and component, regardless of being wireless or not. It's like how phones have pretty much omitted their 3.5mm ports now because of bluetooth earphones, because they think nobody needs the port. Excuse me, but I would rather it there and not need it, than the other way around. I always carry wired earphones with me always, incase my bluetooth is playing around, or I forget to charge my earphones etc.. That's why I remain with Sony for phone, they are the only Phone manufacturer who still occasionally develops new phones with 3.5mm ports. I don't know, it just feels like a slap in the face by logitech. The 3.5mm should ALWAYS be there. Especially on such a premium product. No excuses.

    I have tried the HyperX Cloud Alpha, the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless and the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Headsets. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless had the best sound out of the box. You get that bass punch in the middle of battle and the highs never had that screeching effect that can hurt your ears. But when playing Warzone, footsteps that sounded like they were coming from one direction were coming from the opposite. I tried the THX surround sound as well and that did not fix the problem. Whereas with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless, the sound wasn’t as good as the BlackShark, but you can change the EQ settings and I could pinpoint where every sound was coming from making me a much better player and fully aware of my surroundings. My opinion is if you play a lot of FPS games, go with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless because none of the other headsets I tried came close to the pinpoint accuracy of sound direction that the Pro X offers.

I played a lot with EQs - very comfortable headset, super light snd looks great - wireless first is kind of annoying - I could be a total idiot but I never figured out how to get spatial audio working in a wired mode. - mic captures lots of breathing even with cover. Have to remember to put away from mic. Software noise cancelling isn’t the best. - thx spatial audio settings are strange to configure - you have to configure it through razer synapse and the software isn’t great or sophisticated as Astro command center

    If you are using the GPRO X with the cloth ear cups I would say they are fairly similar. When you put the full pleather ones on the GPRO X though there is more sound cancelling, just due to the amount of pleather.

    So razer decided mimic basically the HyperX cloud and this is why the clamping force is so small . Even though compared to other headsets I found it to be really really big and kinda bothered me when I first got them . Anyways that means that you can basically hear them for a very long period of time without getting any pain or discomfort so that a plus for razer
