The RT-246 is a portable backpack military radio built by Raytheon.
It is a variation for the MOD so it shares most of the Clansman family ancillaries and batteries.
IT can operate in AM or FM. It also has a beacon mode.
Power levels:
HI High power: 8 W
MD Medium power 2W.
LO Low power 0.4 W.
Tuning range:
30 to 88 MHz
100 to 117.975 MHz
118.000 to 156.000 MHz
156.025 to 174 MHz
225 to 400 MHz
Unusually for a military radio, it can also work in duplex modes.
