It's a tradition, and the moment a tradition is lost is is replaced by chaos at first and then something that is a regression of what was there before. It is a GOOD thing that MP's are polite to each other and are politely reprimanded for not being so. There are many examples around the World where democratically elected representatives of the people are NOT polite to each other because they do not have the parliamentary traditions that we have, or they had them but lost them. Watching the discussions in other parliaments is often far worse than the worst you have seen in our parliament for a very long time.

Right to buy schemes have alienated people from affordable housing at the expense of private landlords. Angela Raynor is right to remove them as it will allow less privatisation of basic necessities. Raynor bought her house using the framework the Tory government have created. If you don't like it, complain about the Tories. Capital gains tax only applies where you purchase a property and you do not plan to live in it, meaning she had no reason to pay it. And even if she did pay it, are you really chomping at the bit over the probably 10k that a working mother has saved rather than the million of pounds PPE contracts that have cost people's lives given to Tory donors?

@glynmellor6161 You would be wrong to think that, although I did spot the Blair was nothing like the Labour supporters that I encountered my teenage years. They were people who cared about civic responsibility, who readily gave up their time for the benefit of others, would be first in the queue if their country needed them, and really understood the importance of education. PPE degrees wouldn't have registered as education for the generation who sacrificed everything, including their lives. The generation of labour supporters whose ethical framework came from the injustices of Peterloo, not the slack, immoral, ideals of people like Mandelson.

Ending no fault evictions? In Scotland no fault means paying no rent for a year, trashing your property and refusing to leave.
