I'm a songwriter, and a song hasn't made me cry in decades. I just broke down here. That was so pretty and sad, I have no words. And I just read that he passed away! Oh my goodness, it's a sad day. GOD BLESS YOU RAY! You are a SONGWRITER!!!

Ray Jessel, your spirit, character, and songs will be existed forever. I hope when I stay in the same place with you, I won't ask who are you. Let's just remember this old, funny friend.

Love his lyrics: he sings about songs in 3/4 time... and the song itself is in 3/4 time. He's awesome.

You should've popped up earlier Ray as you are very an originally talented song writer, pianist & entertainer as well. I just feel the wisdom & truth of experience of life you were trying to deliver thru your songs. Rest In Peace Grandpa.

Ray is like my dad, Yes, should have popped up more and earlier. Shame they are gone.

I could listen to this and I suspect everything else for years and still want more.

I've just realized that it's only a few days past 5 years since Mr. Jessel passed away.

I'm thirty years younger than Mr. Jessel, but I feel the same way. The good ol' days are a fading memory, gone forever.

Wow. This guy is amazing. That song tears at your heart strings.

Here I cry again for Ray, for my dad and for all so-called intelligent people fading away. If any G-d would notice a person of the kind he gives him peace, must give, peace is a must thing to bless an ironic mind with.

Ray Jessel has made me buy a whole sheet book from Michael Fensteins songs, just because of this particulary!! Thats how much i like that song! And when Jessel sings it i feel it more romantic and nostalgic than the version of Fenstein.

What a major talent with an incredible gift of lyric and melody.
