RAW 100: Southern Ocean sailing in the Volvo Ocean Race.
Спорт
Witness the power of the wind and waves and the sheer speed of the Volvo Ocean Race. This never-before-created RAW 100 video gives you a perspective only the sailors ever really experience.
The Southern Ocean is a place like no other: it's unfathomably cold and the waves are taller than houses. It's always grey and the squalls are filled with snow rather than rain. The wind is relentless too - a calm day is anything under 30 knots (55kph). And, every few years, a group of sailors head down to the Roaring 40s (and 50s) in the Volvo Ocean Race to complete the iconic leg from Auckland, NZ to Itaji, Brazil.

I appreciate the fact this video has no music cause it has already the best soundtrack of all
Huge cold waves, snow, cold wind, all smashing into you. Looks like fun.
this is barely even a suggestion of how gnarly it really is.
I'm grateful that there's no music.
Got so much respect for these people. Damn

We know, right?
This is insane. I would go crazy on the first day.
What a beauty
I'd do it, where's the sign up sheet?! I love the ocean, there's nothing like it... When you're steaming along through a category 4 hurricane, waves breaking over the O-2+ decks, and spend 2 weeks walking on the upper walls of the p-ways to the ceilings! When you get clear of the storms and the waters are calm, you can see your boot prints above your head as you head towards the galley as well as across the boat! Fair winds and filling seas... 👍🏼🤙🏼
Crazy
FYI. They are headed to Rhode Island now. In-port race scheduled for May 19th.
I very very like red dull
Ladoo
Love this footage. But honestly....sailors can watch and do appreciate clips a longer than 5 seconds.....we want to watch the situation develop and how the boat responds and crew etc.....can't see all that in adhd clips.........still fun stuff to watch though.

Primeiro???
After watching this there is no way in hell Polynesians were able to sail to antartica. The folktale is fake. Modern technology with thermal and suit still struggle let alone going there with little to no clothing and no adaptation for thr cold
